Nordic Glamping - Ash

Yurt · Sleeps 4
Nordic Glamping at Botswicky offers two separate off-grid sites: one for glamping in one of three yurts and another site for 4 tent pitches. Each site is within a glorious wildflower and hay meadow surrounded by ancient woodland. The Ridgeway can be viewed to the south and offers endless walking and hiking possibilities. The Uffington White Horse and several other ancient and National Trust sites and monuments can be reached with a brisk hike or gentle stroll. Our Partners - Helen Browning's Organic and their award winning pub, The Royal Oak, is a 20 minute walk away, across fields and over chalk streams. There is a also a shop on the same site which can provide delicious hampers for our guests upon arrival. The pub serves delicious food from it's outdoor kitchen and caters for meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. The food is sourced from Helen's award-winning organic farm. Each yurt offers a double or king size bed with organic linen or cotton bedding, blankets and a wood-burning stove for chillier nights and mornings. In addition there are futons for sitting and lounging on and to provide add on sleeping accommodation, if required. The two larger yurts, Ash and Olde Oak offer either two single or one double futon based on your booking. Ash can also be set up as pet-friendly on request. The glamping site has two composting toilets, a shower block with hot water provided by gas-powered showers. There is a covered kitchen area with stainless steel cooking areas, gas hobs, washing up facilities and lots of useful equipment. The whole site at Botswicky Copse is a total of 5 acres; the glamping site occupies the back part of the site and the yurts and facilities are very well spaced apart for optimum enjoyment and to really get back to nature. As we are off-grid don't expect electrical hook-ups or wifi, however the 4G is pretty decent so phone calls, texts and data works well onsite if needed. Remember to to add your Greener Camping Club membership for one person per booking if you are not already a member. This costs £12 and covers you for a whole season of access across all of the Green camping sites across England and Wales. There is an option to add this when you book. Welcome to Botswicky!

Had such a lovely time here, it was in a perfect location and wonderful touches across the site. The overhead showers and kitchen area were just perfect!

Beautiful Yurt stay
Just back from a one night stay in the Ash Yurt as a family of 4. Absolutely loved it. Beautifully crafted accommodation with amazing attention to detail. Spacious inside, very comfy beds and the added bonus of a log burner. Great to sit around the fire pit with the children, we had a perfect star filled sky. It was an unseasonably chilly night (late Sept) but our thoughtful hosts had catered for this before arrival with extra thick duvets/hot water bottles and a supply of firewood - we were very snug. Kitchen area is well stocked with everything you could need. Clean showers and toilets - a lovely site. Great communication from hosts (thank you). Would love to come back.

We had an amazing time in our Yurt and will definitely be back! Some much needed rest with little hassle and Nordic Ash is just what we needed. Bed is super comfy & the yurt is tastefully decorated plus added extras of lights, a battery pack, deckchairs, parasol, table etc / basically everything has been thought of! The kitchen has everything that you need but still great quality (especially loved the plates!!) & the compost loo & shower are clean and work well. The price is very reasonable & I really appreciated only being able to book a night (although would happily come back for more!) as many others have minimums that can make stays quite expensive. Logs & firewood was provided for the pit and even a buggy to pull your luggage. The walk to the pub was pleasant & quick, plus great food there too, even though there was the ability to cook everything at the site. Thank you for having us we will definitely be back!
