Amenities at the campground include seasonal potable water from a hand pump, central food storage, and a communal cooking and dining shelter.
Pit (vault) toilets are available year-round. Fires are permitted only in the steel fire rings at the cooking shelter and picnic area; no food or cooking is allowed at the individual sites to prevent wildlife issues. Pets are not permitted in campsites.
The campground does not accommodate RVs, campers, or overnight vehicle parking.
The campground is accessible, with sites #1 and #12 featuring wide, level access paths for those with mobility needs. The immediate area provides access to a network of trails, including the Glacier View Loop and Glacier Overlook Trail, with panoramic glacier views.
The larger park offers longer, strenuous hikes like the Harding Icefield Trail, rewarding visitors with sweeping vistas of glaciers and alpine terrain.
Exit Glacier Campground is conveniently located about eight miles from Seward. Though the campground fills quickly in peak season, it provides a quiet, scenic base for exploring one of Alaska's most visited glaciers and the broader Kenai Fjords landscape.
