Perfect location for "getting away from it all", but yet close to all amenities if needed. Robert is a class act, communication is wonderful and he will go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. Looking forward to going back in the near future. If you love the outdoors and being in touch with nature, this is the place for you.

2 nights at Maine Lakeside Hideaway - Otyokwa

Perfect if you don't mind falling asleep to loon call or waking up to bald eagles chirping. This was our second time staying in the cabins and certainly will not be our last! We can't wait to come back and bring other friends and family members. Rheanna is a wonderful and attentive host. The cabins themselves are exceptionally clean, the shared kitchen cabin is fully stocked, the beds are more comfortable than my bed at home, and the showers are warm. I highly recommend adding the wood-fire sauna to your trip. Hard to beat a sauna and a dip in the lake to start the day.

This site was so relaxing and chill. I was by myself and enjoyed the trails and the woods. I was able to use this space as a base to explore. Highly recommend!

Stuart Little's Cabin was a great spot for my little getaway. It's on the hosts property but the cabins surroundings made it feel very private. It was very quiet and peaceful at night, so great for sleeping. The extension cord was nice to be able to run the fan or charge your phone so you're not totally off grid. The RV/boat type bathroom facility was very clean and Tressa left very clear instructions as to how to use it, if someone wasn't familiar with one. Very reasonably priced. Close to Deer Isle and Stonington and the drive to Acadia isn't too bad.

4 nights at The cabin at White Duck Farm

Perfectly appointed off grid cabin, spacious and welcoming feeling. Be prepared that it's very buggy around the cabin and do enjoy the screened in porch. The canoe and nearby access areas are an idyllic scene and activity. The hosts were genuinely friendly. We plan to revisit.

3 nights at Hazelbrook Cabin at Full Plate Farm

Hazel's cabin was an absolute delight. Everything was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, thoughtful and peaceful. We were able to deeply relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Hazel and Mike were helpful, friendly hosts who gave use great local recommendations and were available yet very respectful of our privacy. We loved the wood stove, outdoor shower, freshe eggs and cozy loft. Also appreciated the rainbow flag, knowing we were welcome! We will be coming back.

I had a great time at Robert's cabin. I was very pleased with the necessities that were provided: camp chairs, a grille to set cookware on over the fire, and a tick removal kit were among the highlights. I had fun exploring the property and paddling Tilden Pond. I did get my 2WD car stuck in the mud on the way out, though, so coming in a 4WD vehicle would be best!

Sooo awesome! Super cute vintage vibe camp. Everything you need. Just bring your own food/toiletries and that’s it. Everything else is provided. It felt like an adult summer camp but with a sauna. The kids loved the rec room and the camp kitchen was a perfect hangout spot when we had a bit of rain. We are already looking forward to booking again. Next time we have our eye on one of the house boats but Book early!

Weekend Trip to Wakefield Wildlife Sanctuary

We loved our stay at cabin 2. This off-the-grid cabin on Cobbossee Stream was exactly what we were looking for. The screened in porch overlooking the water perfect for our meals and morning coffee. Our 7yo loved her bedroom, the dock, and getting out in the canoe. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. We can't wait to come back.

This is the most beautiful cabin! Everything about it is cozy and unique. We cooked with ease and enjoyed the shower and the fire. We were able to go the nearby beaches and walk right from the cabin to a nature preserve. I highly recommend a stay.

Our cabin is an off grid post and beam structure that we built 8 years ago. It's has a full kitchen, wood stove, and screened porch. There are jugs provided for doing dishes etc and a large (150 gallon) tank outside for refills. There are a generous supply of lanterns (both battery and inflatable solar) flashlights and string lights for lighting. This is a small two story timber frame cabin off grid and secluded deep in the woods. It has a separate outhouse as well as shower stall to use the solar shower bags in. The cabin has a king sized bed in the loft with a child size fold down bunk above it; there is also a pull out couch on the first floor. As well as a kitchen, screened in porch and fire pit. Linen, dishes and utensils are not included please bring all that you need. There is a propane 4 burner stove with oven and solar shower bags. Trash and campfire wood is included. We are very busy with kids and work, we try our best to clean and re-supply between guests but it is not always possible, please let us know if something needs attention!

The Pond Cabin

We think this area is incredible and want to provide access to these hidden gems off the beaten track. Incredible, white sands Pemaquid Beach is 10 minutes away. Unique LaVerna Preserve is a 10 minute walk from the cabin and boasts amazing geological features. World-renowned Damariscotta River Oysters are available in many restaurants in nearby Damariscotta. The Pond Cabin is a 12 ft. x 16 ft. timber frame with 6'x8' sleeping loft nestled 150 feet off a private, dirt road. As the crow flies, the Pond Cabin is 1/4 mile from the open ocean. Hipcampers will hear lobster boats, gulls and ocean swells. A small pond is just across the small dirt road and provides habitat for peepers and bullfrogs, as well as multiple bird species. The cabin is quite private and tucked into the woods on 3 sides. Nearby attractions include: Long Cove Point (less than 1 mile away), LaVerna Preserve (less than 1 mile away), Pemaquid Beach (a 10 minute drive), Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (a 15 minute drive), Hardy Boat Cruises to Monhegan Island and wildlife viewing tours (a 10 minute Drive), Round Pond Village (a 10 minute drive), as well as boat launch access at Round Pond Village. Fort William Henry is also nearby (a 10 minute drive). Kayak/canoe rentals are available at Bristol Mills and at the site containing Fort William Henry. The beds are covered with Allerease mattress protectors which are antimicrobial and provide allergen protection. Guests should bring their own bedding or sleeping bags. 2 pillows are provided, also covered with Allerease zippered covers. The Pond Cabin now has electricity. There is a hiking trail, about a mile long, from the cabin that gives you direct access to the ocean and nearby LaVerna Nature Preserve, a spectacular preserve with sweeping views to the open ocean and unique geologic features. Also, little ones will find the beginnings of a "fairy village" behind the cabin. Its 108-acres feature historic cabins and 4000 feet of frontage on Cobbossee Stream in West Gardiner. The property’s coniferous and deciduous woods, vernal pools, and marshlands are important habitat for many species of birds, mammals, and plants. In 2018, the Maine Cabin Masters renovated two of the stream-side cabins, which now serve as rustic getaways for Hipcampers and the like. A small dock and canoes are available for use on the wide and deep flatwater stream! *NEW 2024 - A dock has been added to cabin 2, so each cabin now has it's own private dock. WELCOME to Happy Hippie Lane Maine! Get your "groove" on or hang loose here on a precious little island with a big bridge just off route one in the heart of Midcoast. Hundreds of guests report the perfect balance of upbeat fun and chill time and call our place and hospitality "magic", "amazing" and "holy guacamole!" It is a lovely spot just off the beaten path but close enough to access the frey. :) I welcome my guests personally and have likely had a chat before you booked. I like to know what your hopes and priorities are around your stay before I accept so I can meet both of our needs. When you arrive, I will greet you and share a little history/tour of the place. I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too.
