Weekend Trip to ZiegenVine Homestead

I can’t say enough good things about Allison and Randy. I stayed for a couple of nights with my partner on a longer trip, and within a few minutes of being there we kept talking about how we wished our whole trip could’ve been here. As soon as Allison and Randy found out we were interested in owning a farm of our own one day, they were more than happy to give us a detailed tour and answer all of our questions (and we had a lot). I left with a stack of magazines they had in the barn all about farming, gardening, and building (did I mention they built a lot of the structures on the property themselves?). As amazing as all of these things were, our favorite part had to be the animals – the goats were beyond sweet and so funny, but there were also chickens, pigs, ducks and ducklings , and (last but not least) Claire the cow. We spent most of the (sadly) only full day we were there walking in circles around the farm, feeding the pigs, and looking at the beautiful views. Also its worth mentioning Randy is a wonderful bagpipes player, and will bring them out under the right circumstances.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Private Campground

The name is accurate! Very peaceful and secluded. The sound of the steam was relaxing and it was nice to be outside! Good communication with Bailee. Definitely would recommend!

4 nights at ZiegenVine Homestead

We had an amazing stay at Randy and Allison’s ZiegenVine Homestead! We spent four nights there and already can’t wait to return. The views from the property are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, open, and the perfect place to unwind. The animals were such a joy to be around—fun to feed, watch, and pet—and added so much charm to our experience. Randy and Allison are outstanding hosts. They generously took the time to give us a tour and answered all our curious questions about the homestead. It’s clear how much care and hard work they’ve put into the land—truly inspiring! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the company of kind people and happy animals.

Weekend Trip to HipSites @ Fulkerson Winery

Awesome site with plenty space and privacy. Beautiful views of the lake and vineyards, and an easy stroll to Fulkerson or other local spots for a cold beverage. Plenty space for our pup as well - would highly recommend!

4 nights at Peaceful Private Campground

This was our second trip to this beautiful, peaceful and private camp. The full hookup site is very level and easy to pull into. Bailee’s land is so nice, we especially like the creek that runs along the back of the land. Fire pit is great as well. Beautiful short drive to the lakes and quaint small towns! Good communication from Bailee as well.

4 nights at HipSites @ Fulkerson Winery

We had a great four day stay at Fulkerson Vineyards. You cannot beat the view and have the place all to yourself (no other campers). It was easy to find (we even arrived after dark and figured it out just fine) just pull up alongside the post pile (which will be to your right). If you pull to the end of the pile before you are sticking out into the field you are out of the way of the disc golf as stated. We set up our solo stove where other fires were clearly there before and it was in the perfect spot perched up on a hill. The owner was very communicative, dropping firewood at the site for our arrival, and clear directions given to the site. It was a pleasure to meet him and chat about the local region. We tried out his recommended vineyards and thoroughly enjoyed them as well as a visit to Fulkerson itself! There was a sweet woman who graciously let us sample her homemade wine while we stopped in for a tasting with them. The location can’t be beat with several wineries and some breweries all along route 14. Also be sure to check out the many beautiful waterfalls in the region. Do this before the wine tastings, lol! The town of Watkins Glen is 10 minutes south for restaurants, grocery stores, and a Walmart if needed for supplies. We will definitely be back to stay at Fulkerson as this was a great experience for us and we only scratched the surface of all this region has to offer!

Stoney Goat Homestead

****please read the description**** Our homestead is organic farming with livestock goats, pigs, and chickens. We hatch our own eggs and have an organic vegetable garden. We will soon be offering a wood stove heated covered wagon, well kind of...lol. with a queen sized bed. You can see pictures of it, it's cozy, also we will be building two or more 12 foot by 12 foot 3 sided "A" frames over looking the pasture and the ponds That will be by summers end! We offer companion goats for the finger lakes trail. In Ithaca a goat herder rents pack goats to Watkins Glen on the finger lakes trail, we would like to offer pack goats from our homestead to whatever destination point on the finger lakes trail, we can pick them up with our trailer, and you could be on your way, we will go into Watkins Glen from the east. In April we will have goat babies and offer cuddle sessions lol trail hikes with our goats. Info at our homestead process kitchen, to be built in the summer of 2025. Our property is a very wooded, secluded area on two and a half acres., it is on a hill, parking is about a football field distance from the campsite, rugged walking, very doable, bring appropriate footwear. We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here. We are 420 friendly! Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire. We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop. For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast. We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. Must go to our local restaurants too. You can't be disappointed with what we have to offer you here, something for everyone. Even small pond for fishing for the kids! Hope to see you soon. It's a beautiful setting but don't be surprised to see the large dorm buildings! ;-)
