Weekend Trip to Wild Cherry Camp 🍒

Samantha was a great host with a great little piece of paradise ! We camped on the non river side, but the River was just across the road. The dogs ran free and we used the pavilion since it was a HOT weekend. The road is close, so if your dogs don't listen, then tie them up ! Thanks for sharing your land with us. We will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Levi’s! We tent camped and enjoyed listening to the stream all night. The river and the bluffs are beautiful, and it was so refreshing to swim for a bit. Everyone was super nice and friendly, and we loved seeing the cows!

It was amazing. We had a great time with our 3 and 4 year olds. Swam in the lake, admired the birds, cannonballs off the dock, kayaking and paddleboarding. Was happy to borrow the kiddo life jackets! Spotlessly clean. Obviously a family who are very proud of their space. Lots to enjoy!

The Cedar Grove campsites are nicely spaced apart. The lake fishing from multiple piers and from a canoe was very good—lots of action. A sandy beach area for swimming and canoe launching is a nice feature. The host provides plenty of watercraft. The toilets are well-kept. My family hiked a nearby Massanutten trail that was only 2 miles away. I look forward to booking again.

This is our group’s second time back at this location and we can’t say enough how much we cherish it. The campsites are pristine and the lake and available recreational items are the highlight! Our campsite was right next to the creek and about a hundred yards from the lake with plenty of space to set up camp. Even with the unforgivable storms that we encountered this weekend, we managed to enjoy our time there. You can well see your neighbors but didn’t really hear them as everyone was respectful. The porta potties are always clean and well stocked. They offer some kayaks, fishing poles, and inflatable items but you can bring your own as well. Can’t wait to be back again!

Weekend Trip to * The Farm *

We had an amazing weekend trip to Trevor’s place and highly recommend it! It is truly a hidden gem. We originally booked site 3 but as we were the only party there, ended up setting up camp at site 1. Playing in the river was the highlight of our visit- our dog and kids had a blast wading, and we watched fly fisherman catching fish. We went to Muse Vineyard across the river for wine flights and food- a must visit! Nearby Seven Turns State Park had an awesome park for the kids. The farm is very convenient to town for making a quick run for supplies or restaurants. Trevor was a friendly and helpful host. The property was well maintained and a pleasure to spend time at, and we really appreciated being able to let our dog roam off leash. We will definitely be back to explore nearby MTB trails and swim again!

Weekend Trip to The Bluffs at Cedar Creek

Our family had an incredible time at The Bluffs at Cedar Creek! Our travel trailer was parked right alongside a babbling stream, surrounded by the most peaceful and picturesque backdrop. During our stay, the daylilies were in full bloom and the cosmos danced among a sea of wildflowers. Daisies, clover, chicory, and crownvetch painted the fields, it was truly a nature lover’s dream. The kids were absolutely thrilled with the swimming hole in the creek, in addition to the stocked pond, which came complete with a trampoline, kayaks, a paddleboard, and a paddle boat. It was the perfect setup for carefree summer weekend of fun. We also enjoyed interacting with the miniature ponies and long horned steer, which added a sweet and memorable touch to the whole experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat filled with beauty, fun, and the charm of the countryside, The Bluffs at Cedar Creek is a hidden gem we’d highly recommend. The owners were top notch people!

1 night at Cheat View Outpost

Tommy’s communication was amazing - he even had someone come down to tell us what an animal noise was. Very private, super pretty, and lots of animal noises to hear. We heard coyotes, cows, woodpeckers, and bull frogs. Would definitely recommend staying here and walking the property.

5 nights at Wineberry Grove

I would rank Wineberry Grove as one of the top spots I’ve stayed so far for peace and quiet. We felt completely safe and were left alone to simply enjoy our time here in the area which is very important to us. Clean well taken care of spot and the neighbors were very friendly waving as we went in and out. Beautiful area to visit as well with lots to do in the forest or in the old small towns. Good food to enjoy just minutes away and endless trails to take in within an hours drive in all directions.

Another amazing family trip! We got lucky with a lot of rain in days leading up to our trip, so the creek was running high and fast. We did some tubing and as always, enjoyed the fishing and time on the lake. Thanks Eric!

The farm is great - we were only ones there and enjoyed use of full Hookup next to the bathhouse. Ralph is a delightful host and this property is so much more beautiful in person than pics can convey. A truly special place and a wonderful getaway! We will definitely camp here again. Weekend Trip to Pastimes on Passage Creek Ranch

We’ve camped at this site so many times we’ve lost count, and it never disappoints. Even with quite a bit of rain over the weekend, we had a wonderful time. Falling asleep to the sound of the rain tapping on the tent and the stream (which was flowing thanks to the rain) gently trickling nearby was incredibly relaxing. One of the best perks is having firewood pre-delivered. It is such a time and space-saver, especially when you’re packing up the car. Super convenient! Fishing was amazing all weekend long. The fish were biting like crazy, and we saw some huge bass lurking around the lake—definitely a highlight of the trip. This campsite continues to be a favorite. It’s peaceful, majestic, and always delivers a great outdoor experience. Can’t wait to come back—again!

I loved camping at Almost Heaven. The amenities were clean and well taken care of. The store had everything needed for last minute or needed items. My stay was relaxing with a view of the river and the quiet atmosphere even though it rained all weekend. I will definitely be taking another trip back. Weekend Trip to Grouseland Hospitality

Great spot with a great view! We were lucky enough to be the only campers there and enjoyed walking the property and looking out at the vista. The benches, grill, fire ring, firewood, hammock, and hanging lights were all appreciated, even if we didn’t have the opportunity to use most of it due to the weather. Shout out to the host who was kind enough to deliver an emergency late-night contact lens case when I realized I had forgotten mine. Would recommend! :)

4 nights at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp

One of my favorite trips. Cycling the road from our site to the dead end and then the other direction to bottom of hill gave us 8 miles round trip. This was as beautiful as any trail I’ve ever been on. We only encountered one car. Highly recommend . Vince is definitely a five star host. Very accommodating. On bad weather days he messaged with suggestions for ways to pass the time. He provides an extensive list of attractions in the area. Very responsive to messages. I’ve used Hipcamp a lot and have never had a better host. I’ve only used a campground twice before and never had service as outstanding as this. Speaking of service, our T-Mobile had no issues here. Campers were all very quiet. On our way here we pulled off at the Fred long centennial park for a beautiful view . Great spot that is about a 30 minute drive from camp for watching the sunset, even right from the warmth of your car. Also good for night sky gazing. The view is northwest (mostly west). This is also a spot on the 2025 Tucker County scavenger passport, located at the bench. We used the list as a way to explore Tucker County. We enjoyed that. Parked in parsons at train depot to ride rail trail in each direction. Around 18 miles round trip paved. The town of Thomas has a great vibe. We enjoyed the menu and music at the purple fiddle. Enjoyed Davis too. Black water falls, experimental forest. So worth our 6 hour drive to get here.

The lot is beautiful with many opportunities for wildlife. There is the Capon Springs resort 10 minutes away with lots of options for hiking, massage and swimming. The sites are not far from our barn, and we will leave one tractor bay open for you, just in case it was to rain and you want to use it as shelter. The sites are not perfect level so you will have to level your camper a little. You will have your own fire ring and picnic table, also you will have access to fresh water. You will need a good size water hose if your going to hook up water to your camper from site 1. We have electric hookups that are 20amp Only. There is a clean outhouse but no shower at this time. We are working on making a shower. There is plenty of room for outdoor yard games. You will hear a little road noise and we do have neighbors. You will see me and my family out working around and feeding animals at times. The hosts house is not to far from the campsites. This is just a peaceful piece of property on a mini farm to get away and relax and explore Berkeley Springs WV. We are also only 15 minutes to Cacapon River for Kayaking and Swimming. We are also only 15 minutes to the C&O canal for hiking and biking. We do sell firewood for $7.00 that's around 13 pieces of wood. There is cornhole by the ice-cream shack that you are welcome to play. There will be more things added to the property in the near future. So come on out to the mountains and be our guest.

This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. The Cedar Grove sites 1, 2, and 3 are along the banks of Passage Creek located within a sparse, groomed Cedar grove. They are all a short walk (or drive) to the lake and beach amenities. Each site has varying access to the creek, so check out the site details. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups, as well as, travel trailers of all sizes up to off-road motorcoaches in site 1. There are no hookups, so just boondocking. Pack it in, Pack it out. Generators are allowed but please be aware of the other sites and direct the noise away. The Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, nestled between the mountains and the lake. It overlooks our 5-acre lake with mountain views in the background. It's on the opposite side of the lake from the Cedar Sites. This site has its own dock and is just a short walk down a mowed trail to a beautiful section of Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream can cascade behind the site and run under it to feed the lake when the conditions are right. Ferns in the Forest

Learn more about this land: This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports. The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site. We are "nice pet" friendly. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to the beginning of October and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail.

The sites are not perfect level so you will have to level your camper a little. You will have your own fire ring and picnic table, also you will have access to fresh water. You will need a good size water hose if your going to hook up water to your camper from site 1. We have electric hookups that are 20amp Only. There is a clean outhouse but no shower at this time. We are working on making a shower. There is plenty of room for outdoor yard games. You will hear a little road noise and we do have neighbors. You will see me and my family out working around and feeding animals at times. The hosts house is not to far from the campsites. This is just a peaceful piece of property on a mini farm to get away and relax and explore Berkeley Springs WV. We are also only 15 minutes to Cacapon River for Kayaking and Swimming. We are also only 15 minutes to the C&O canal for hiking and biking. We do sell firewood for $7.00 that's around 13 pieces of wood. There is cornhole by the ice-cream shack that you are welcome to play. There will be more things added to the property in the near future. So come on out to the mountains and be our guest.
