I loved the area. It is beautiful and we were able to enjoy our stay there in perfect weather. The eggs were delicious and we caught trout, perch, and pike at the dam beside us. We went kayaking up the pond and saw lots of turtles and red winged black birds. We would 100% camp here again.

My fiancé and I had an amazing time! This was our very first Hipcamp experience, and it definitely won’t be our last! Kelli was a wonderful host, periodically checking in with us through the app to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re considering it, I HIGHLY recommend adding the fresh-baked bread. It was absolutely delicious and still warm from the oven when we arrived. We also rented a couple of kayaks and set out hoping to catch a few fish… and the number of northerns we pulled in was crazy. Such a fun and memorable trip. We’ll absolutely be back!

This my family's second trip to Kelli and Patrick's camp site and it was another wonderful experience. Such a cool setting and the boys can keep busy with fishing. The kayaks are also a nice touch. Kayaking upstream is easy and safe even with kids. Would 100% recommend this place. Already looking at a 3rd trip. Don't forget your water shoes! The location has a swimmable area.

We had an amazing time at River Forest. Our site was very big and clean with nice crushed granite throughout. Our large fire pit with natural rocks was perfect for campfire cooking and warming up. The campground was beautifully nestled in the hardwood forest within walking distance of the river and hiking trail. Best of all the owners are extremely kind and helpful 🩷

T was helpful getting me sorted and the site was quiet and had a great view of the stars. The firepit was there and ready but I got in too late to use it. Definitely would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Roost

My first ever HipCamp and Kelli's land made it a memorable one. Very responsive and offerings were beyond expectations. Her bread makes some delicious ham and cheese sandwhiches over the fire! Definitely felt like I had the place to myself with lots of wildlife; saw a few deer, tons of different birds and some fish that would periodically jump out of the water. Took a trip up the river with a kayak and saw a handful of bald eagles as well. If you're looking for a weekend to unplug and be in nature, this is a great spot!

4 nights at River Forest Campground & Rafting

We had a group of 9 people at River Forest and it was a wonderful stay from start to finish. The grounds staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the bathrooms were clean, water was hot, and the space had a great balance of cleared areas for tents and lush treescapes. While we were there, there was also a music festival that was great to pop into, but wasn't so loud that it was distracting on our site. There are also some great activities that we look forward to trying out in warmer months when we come back!

We loved camping at Clear Water Camp! Adam was an amazing host both prior to and during our trip. He was highly responsive to questions I had about the camp site and hiking in the area. When we arrived, our site was clean and a fire was ready to be started. Adam greeted us at our site and was very welcoming- making sure we had everything we needed! The rec room is well stocked with activities, snacks, and beverages and was the perfect spot to warm up with a cup of coffee in the mornings. The camp ground itself was beautiful with a hiking trail around the grounds. All sites had plenty of space- perfect for families and those with dogs! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again! Adam was super kind and communicative and set the fire pit up with wood and fire starters, there were tiki torches available for lighting and a great rec room stocked with everything you might need. A private sanctuary with 30 acres located just north of Waupaca's Chain O' Lakes with groomed hiking and/or biking trails. Terrain is varied with ponds, hills, and valleys. Shower, potable water, and rec room available. PLEASE NOTE with heavy rain all wheel drive (AWD) is needed to park next to your site. If you don't have AWD, there's parking by the rec room. We can transport you to your site if there are issues. Firewood is available for purchase in addition to a 24 x 32 rec room/storm shelter. Kayaks and SUPs available to rent too! The rec room offers a fun room full of games (ping pong, darts, and other fun games) and a living room area with multiple TVs.
