Welcome to The Hideaway at The World Famous Hole in The Wall, a truly one-of-a-kind escape in rainforest like setting nestled in the heart of Northern California’s redwood country just up the road from the iconic Drive Through tree, The Grandfather Tree, Confusion Hill and the Sky Walk Forest Path. Tucked deep within a peaceful forest just off Highway 101 in Leggett, this hidden gem offers an unforgettable mix of natural beauty, relaxation, and creativity. Giant chimes or a game of horse shoes. At the heart of the property is our namesake attraction—a stunning swimming hole carved into the rock wall by dynamite decades ago, ( Google hole in the wall Leggett) now transformed into a crystal-clear, refreshing oasis complete with cascading waterfalls. Lounge on redwood decks, picnic under the trees, play on the worlds biggest home made giant cylinder chimes in the sound garden or explore the surrounding fruit trees and lush forest paths, tire swings, or a game of horse shoes. Learn the local plants and their uses with signs that you can find describing each one around the property. That have been tended to with regenerative permaculture practices. The Hideaway isn't just a place to camp—it's a place to learn, create, and connect. We host educational permaculture workshops, music events, and hands-on learning experiences. Whether you're into fixing, building, or tinkering, you'll have access to all the tools you could ever need. Amenities include, invigorating outdoor hot showers, new picnic tables, and easy access right off the 101. DO NOT TAKE BELL SPRINGS ROAD, JUST STAY ON THE 101 WE ARE LOCATED SO CONVENIENTLY ON THE 101 Follow blue arrows once you cross the big bridge.

This is really just a good place for people who are on road trips to be able to park, shower cook swim and hang out over night, not designed for actually camping but more than welcome to pop your tent up. Can use the picnic table, grill for cooking, deck, etc. in the community area! BE SURE TO REVERSE IN if you're in a trailer camper vans can pull in.

#5 Orchard Side Camp
This is a super unique spot! The river/stream that runs through it is absolutely beautiful. You have to walk down a little trail to get to the water. The guys who live on site live completely off grid, which I think is cool. They were super helpful and responded to our messages in a timely manner. The wifi is weak but good enough for our purposes. There is a lot of random stuff on the property, so as a parent, I don't think it would be the best place for a little one who likes to get into everything. Also, the campsites are close to the cliff above the river. Shower was hot. They provided fresh spring water. Being close to the water, there are TONS of mosquitoes. Bring repellent & wear long sleeves. The trail down to the water I believe has quite a bit of poisonous plants, so be on the lookout. Look up poison oak/ivy etc if you're unsure of what that looks like. I definitely want to go back to explore the area further!

A very nice campground next to Highway 101, directly above the hole in the wall. The driveway is a bit hard to find, down the gravel road and over the wooden bridge. The campsite is a real insider tip. Highly recommended, but only for smaller RVs

Absolutely loved staying here!! The owners were super caring and made sure we had everything we needed. The site was also gorgeous with lots to explore. I would definitely recommend as I will definitely be going back!

#2 Fire Side Camp
Do not take Bell Springs Road! The hipcamp is across the street from Tan Oak park off a short gravel road drive. Once you arrive, you may meet the owner & his dogs along the drive. Follow the blue arrows to multiple camp sites with a picnic table, smokeless firepit & gravel parking at each site. We use levelers, but it was already pretty flat. There is a waterfall next to the sites & you are generally located at the back of the traditional Hole in the Wall swim site. About a 5 minute drive to the walking trail to the swim site. Overall, it's a new site with room to grow but it's quiet, well maintained & dog friendly 🐾
