Founded in 2018, the St Pete Micro Farm (SPMF) is an ambitious project located in Saint Petersburg Florida. Resting on just 1/10th of an acre, this 1957 mid-century modern home hosts over 80 different species of fruiting tree and shrub. With the goal of blending natural beauty and innovative design, it's an ever-evolving space that is both inviting and surprising. During your stay, we invite you to enjoy an open-air yet tastefully private shower under the bananas, or relax back into the big enough for two garden tub. A large outdoor kitchen area with a gas burner and grill will also be available for your use. An 8' x 7' yoga deck is a great place to stretch out, and doubles as your tent's platform when it's time to set up camp. If you're bringing your own tent (standard), please ensure it will fit on the available deck. Or, if you'd like for us to provide a tent for you, please select it in the add-ons section before completing your booking (Heat beating, air conditioned/AC option also available under extras). In the outdoor shower area there's a "Nature's Head" composting toilet just a few steps away from where you'll be staying. On chillier evenings, you can toast marshmallows by the fire pit, or just star gaze and let time trickle by. During the day, you'll be free to get online and catch up with the work world, or walk the garden and discover one of the many hideaways scattered around the property. You never know what will be in season, but with the guidance of one of your hosts, you can try a variety of fruits, greens, and berries if they're ready for harvest. A rich variety of wild birds visit regularly, recognizing it as a safe haven for wildlife. And though we can't guarantee you'll see a rare one, we can guarantee you'll see CHICKENS! Six of them in fact, Salty, Sleepy, Jet, Little Comb, Tapatio, and Dutchess. These friendly, curious, and fearless little marauders are guaranteed to make your acquaintance, and if you're not looking, invite themselves to share your breakfast. They free roam the yard during daylight hours, so please help us keep all gates shut to prevent them from going on an unscheduled field trip. They will also leave "landmines" on the pathways, so be sure to watch your step. We do our best to keep everything clean and tidy, but chickens abhor tidiness. And will go out of their way to unleash chaos at every turn. Still, we love the little bird brains and they are an entertaining addition to the grounds. They're also the reason we ask that all pets, and children under 12, be left at home. We thank you for your understanding and help in preserving the safety of our flock, and as thanks, please help yourself to any fresh eggs in the chicken coop. This is only a brief description, there's so much more to see on-site, but you'll also want to make your way out into the city (15 minute drive) for some of the unique flair St Pete is known for. Check out the Salvadore Dali museum and see his famous surrealist paintings. Visit some of the best beaches in the country, like St Pete Beach (15 minutes drive due West). Wander the Fort Desoto historical park area. Or play ultimate frisbee at a local course located 10 minutes down the road. Stop by the Morean Arts Center and see live glass blowing demonstrations, or just walk along Central Ave to soak up the cool vibe and rich city art scene. Complete with murals, sculptures, and a pier scene that's not to be missed.Glamper’s Paradise is the one and only tent site at the St. Pete Micro Farm! You’ll be camping in a peaceful 7’ x 8’ deck space nestled between our open-air shower and outdoor kitchen. Bring your own tent, or reserve one of ours in the add-ons before checkout—AC tent option available! Just steps from your site, the outdoor kitchen includes a propane grill, burner (please turn off propane when done), table, chairs, and a large sink with hot/cold water. On the other side, enjoy our private open-air shower (also hot/cold) and composting toilet in a fenced area that doubles as your bathroom. You’ll also find a variety of shaded spots with tables and chairs throughout the farm—perfect for meals, journaling, or remote work. Our friendly chickens roam freely and might waddle over to say hello (don’t worry, they haven’t eaten anyone yet). Want to win them over? Turn the candy machine dial for a handful of their favorite snack—dried mealworms. At night, gather around the central fire pit for roasting treats or gazing at surprisingly starry skies, thanks to our location near the tip of the peninsula. Being on an urban micro farm means something is almost always in season—ask your host for a tour of what’s fruiting! Note: Would you like to stay for 3 nights or more? Want to pitch in a little and help around the farm? Let's talk, if it looks like a good fit. We can send you a coupon for a discounted rate. Important Notes: • Tent not included unless added at checkout. Our insulated Shiftpod Mini III (6’5”x6’5”) sleeps two and fits perfectly on the deck. AC upgrade also available. • Noise Alert: Chickens think they’re roosters. Earplugs are included in your welcome kit—use them if you’re a light sleeper! • Vanlifers note: While sleeping in vehicles is not allowed, you’re more than welcome to book a stay, pitch a tent on the yoga deck, and use the on-site amenities. On-site parking is available for a mid-size car or truck. Larger vehicles should park along 7th St S. • Instant Booking is now on! Book anytime—even last minute. If you choose add-ons like the tent or AC, please allow us a little time to prep the space.

Fun and unique St Pete stay!
We loved our stay here! We were in town for a music festival and thought this would be a fun and unique place for a homebase. The hosts were so gracious and accommodating. We love learning about all the different species of fruits and vegetables in their yard. I wanted to take all the chickens home with me!

Bill told me at the beginning of my 2-night stay that he intended for his micro-farm to be an inspiring place and I can confirm… the intention was felt! I left feeling inspired about many things… growing food, feng shui architecture, art, stories, circus life, and just living simply. The beauty of the quaint but rich land left me feeling like a freshly bloomed flower 🌸 If you’re a creative, you especially want to come take a few days in this space to create. creativity just seems to flow in the jungle-island-vibe. I play the ukulele and while I was here, I played for hours in the tropical garden! And wrote for the first time in a while too. Bill made sure I had everything I needed ~ pots, pans, ice, hammock to hang in, sugarcane juice to drink… he truly cares about making an experience enjoyable. I cannot wait to come back to camp at this magical backyard homey retreat again. Thank you Bill, Steph, Noah, Big Red, Salty, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, and all the other chicky girls 🐓 for a refreshing and meaningful time in your space.

We stayed here for a night and had a great time! Bill was so welcoming and accommodating from the minute we arrived. The tour of his place and the garden was so fun and we got to taste some fruits and veggies we had never heard of. Staying with the chickens was also a highlight, they are so friendly and cute and make great breakfast partners while having some fresh eggs. We would absolutely stay here again.
