Stunning views. We grilled and had a fire and everything we needed was there. It was like going off grid, love it. The people that own the farm are SO nice and personable.

We loved being in a dome and glamping in the most rustic of places! The views and skyline at night are amazing! Watching the sunset, hearing the soft knicker of horses, and being surrounded by beautiful scenery on all 4 sides made for an incredibly peaceful stay!

We absolutely loved staying here on this beautiful property and had such an amazing stay!! The retreat is absolutely beautiful and the views are incredible. We could not thank everyone enough for the wonderful hospitality! Will definitely recommend and will be returning soon!!

This was a excellent experience, everyone was friendly and very accommodating. My girls went horseback riding and had a great time. We fished, walked trails and the horses and cows would walk up to the campsite. Looking forward to going back in the fall.

Lush green grass, rolling hills beautiful lily pad pond. Horses roaming freely but not at camp site. The host was extremely attentive and pleasant and all the workers, and the horse back riding was wonderful very friendly and gentle horses.

Jon was a great host! Quick to respond and super welcoming. The tent was sturdy, clean, and spacious and there were some nice touches (flashlights, extra toothbrushes, fun pillows, etc.) that made our stay super comfortable. Highly recommend a stay here!

This was an amazing unforgettable experience I loved sleeping out on the land in a comfortable tent with a bed and fully equipped bathroom and a fire pit. Beautiful place with horses and a pond for fishing. The hosts were so welcoming and immediately replied to handle our every need! Thank you so much we will be back!

It was a very private and relaxing stay. Jon and his help were all very kind and helpful. The land, tent, shower, and amenities were all nice and as advertised. I highly recommend.

The Lookout Retreat was such a wonderful place to stay with just enough amenities to feel comfortable, but not so many to take away from the camping experience. The property was gorgeous with so much area to walk and explore, and the tent was very comfortable and clean.
We will definitely be revisiting the retreat the next time we have a long weekend and need to get away from the city.

I took my fiancé here for her birthday recently. We met Pat and Jon. They were so nice. We had a great view of the cows and the lake from our tent. It was so close to downtown Lawrence if you wanted to get some food or you could order in. Pat took us on our trail rides. We talked to him about our recent loss and he prayed with us which we really appreciated.
Thank you Pat for the hospitality and kindness I can’t tell you how much that meant to us.
If you need to get away or need some equestrian therapy I 100% recommend Saddle ridge.

The land and animals are beautiful and well cared for. The tent was awesome and we really appreciated having a hot shower!
The post lists a treated swimming hole, but there was nothing of the like that we could find. There is a very large pond that the horses and cows get into, but not suitable for swimming.
Otherwise we had a really great stay!

Jon’s quick response to our questions and Pat’s friendly greeting upon our arrival was very helpful. Pat, the land owner, guided up to the top of Lookout Ridge and walked us thru all amenities. He also helped get our fire going along with firewood. The camp is wonderful, we enjoyed our fire with the stars overhead.
We ordered dinner from J. Wilson’s and it was served to us by Jake. Very nice, friendly and first class!!
We strongly recommend Lookout Ridge!!

We loved glamping on this property. The cabin was very cozy. Nicely decorated, comfortable bedding, and the generators were nice to have. Beautiful guided horse trail ride! The hosts were wonderful. We relaxed while they set up our fire. Our tent had all of the essentials we wouldn’t have needed to pack hardly at all! Super fast response time to any requests, even a late night request for more firewood. Everything we expected and more! Donuts on the way out. Great people, great experience.

We had a fantastic experience at Saddle Ridge Retreats! The hospitality was outstanding, and this was the perfect place to enjoy the fall weather and chill out for a couple days. We added a trail ride to our stay and really enjoyed touring the property on horseback. We will definitely be back!

The surroundings were peaceful and calming. No set up and no tear down. Perfect for a quick getaway if you just need to relax. The tent was warm and inviting and the people who worked there were available at the drop of a hat. Definitely recommended.

We enjoyed the horse trail ride and the animals were fun to watch. Definitely a vibe. Only regret is not bringing the kiddos but we will be back.

We had the best experience! Pat greeted us// showed us around and was just exceptional! Communication with Jon was fantastic and timely. They even offered food services from a local restaurant that was fantastic!! We booked this as a “staycation “ as we live in KC and this is just what the soul needed !!

Such a beautiful place! The tent was lovely, enormous blow up bed was super comfy, and the bathroom set up is creative and effective. We arrived later in the evening and they met us at the gate, already had a fire going for us, and showed us around the site very hospitably. We woke up surrounded by a herd of horses. Magical! Highly recommend.

I’v never been camping like here.
It was one of the best experience that I ever had. You will be able to feel that you are in middle of nature. Cows and horses are walking around you, but don’t worry about that, they will not bite you at all.

Jon's little extra touches made an already amazing experience that much better! It was a perfect first-time camping experience for my 3 year old. When the horses walked up to say hello as we were roasting marshmallows it was truly magical. The outhouse was clean and nice with hot and cold potable water, towels and soap. Lots of portable generators for charging electronics. The cooler air conditioner made camping in July bearable. There is 'canteen" in the room with all the things you may have forgotten plus a few complementary snacks. Beautiful, cozy tents and bedding.

We went glamping for a night for my husbands birthday and we loved it! It was about 100 degrees out so we paid extra for air conditioning and it was worth it! We had treats and even a birthday card waiting for us when we got there! Jon built us a fire for later if we wanted to roast s’mores! There was also corn hole and a fun frisbee game set up for us! That night the ranch was having a little cookout so we went to that as well and made so many friends and got to watch the horses have fun and do barrel races!! Everyone was so accommodating and I can’t recommend this enough!

We loved our camping experience! Jon our host was very helpful setting everything up before we got there, through our stay and even the next morning. I can’t imagine a better getaway if you are looking for a fun and peaceful time away from the day to day stuff you are oh so used to. I highly recommend Jon and his way of making your experience special. He even rescued us when we needed him the most. Thank you Jon, good memories;)

I booked this ‘Glampsite’ as a surprise for my husband and I. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Jon and shown everything we needed for our stay. Our trail ride was such an added bonus to our stay. Jon’s place had everything we needed and more to relax to the fullest and enjoy the gorgeous outdoors. It was everything I hoped for and we can’t wait to return!

I loved everything about the
Ranch. Everything was clean in our tent. We had a great time using the fire pit and we were even able to do a DoorDash and have food brought to us just have to meet them up at the entrance but it was very convenient to be able to do that. John was a great host very very friendly and attentive and we will be back.
