The hosts are very nice and helpful. The path to the camp is very accessible for basically any car. Site is huge and very pretty especially at night and sunrise.

Great Stay! Would definitely come back. The owners of the property are very friendly and organized. They have a beautiful farm and the site was perfect for looking at the night sky.

Angela and Erin were so gracious in sharing this gem of a loved working family farm. 25 minutes from Frederick, I had the best of both worlds - feeling fully welcomed onto their land and getting the respite I needed away from media and the 2-leggeds last weekend…. And I could easily pop back home for a shower between jaunts around the country. Stargazing at night was an objective - as well as to learn about life in Frederick county (today and over the generations). And my word! is there so much to learn! One of the many new bits of knoweldge gleaned - some of my Common Market coop produce were probably sourced right here. I hope to come back to recharge again. I feel graced to have spent a cpl nights here and have told so many friends and fam about Hawkwood and Meadow lands. Yep - I beyond highly recommend.

The site was beautiful, and there was so much room. The hosts were super nice. Especially when they realized we had a vehicle with the hood open and he showed up with a jump starter! Exactly what we needed. The kids especially loved playing in the creek even though it was November and not really warm. We will be back for sure.

Angela's farm was an amazing camping experience. It's very peaceful, no road noise at all, yet close enough to get to a store in 15 mins. At night you hear all the frogs and see all the lightning bugs flashing everywhere.
Angela was very good with communication, and once they showed you the camping site, we didn't see them really at all unless we tried too, which was very nice. Made it feel even more remote.
I would definitely recommend to anybody else, and I in fact, will stay here again

Solo camping dream on my bucket list ✅ never imagined I would have such an amazing camping experience, it was only possible because of how safe the environment was. And how safe the hosts made me feel when we met and spoke. They helped me with everything I needed on the campsite.
And assured that the place was very safe. such nicest people..gosh!! and a very cute doggo..
AND Oh man oh man..the night with moon (light) and trees with fire flies glimmers all over and creek with water flowing all the time.. speechless!!
Will definitely visit again!! 💯 recommend!!
Thanks to the best hosts for creating such a wonderful farm and a campsite there!!

Meadow Land
Meadowland is often our first stop to kick off the camping season before venturing farther from home. It's nearby so it's a great place to shake the gear down, maybe test some new stuff, and just relax and enjoy the quiet, wide open space. We've never had a bad trip and this time was no exception. The weather was perfect, it was good to see Angela and Erin again and it was an all around stinkin' good time. Except for that goddamn Mockingbird that insisted on parking himself right outside our tents and loudly serenading us every night. All. Night. Long. 🤨 😆 A pox on his nest!

The spot was awesome. We loved playing in the creek and looking for crawdads, fish, and salamanders. The hosts were helpful kind and responsive. The field we were in was huge and could definitely host a large group.

Extremely peaceful. The birds are chirping away and happy. The deer bed down in the field . Great view of the sky! Angela is a great host. Close to the AT for hikes

Angela is a great host. Directions to the site and where to set up were precise . The area is well laid out . I have a small travel trailer that is 15 ft. I was able to maneuver just fine past the trees to get back to the meadow.

Very nice, chill people, pretty place. The birds and wildlife are really nice to hear in the morning, there seems to be a lot around there. Our car got stuck in the mud and they helped us push it out. The site by the pond could be better as it is in view of their house, not particularly private, and the outhouse is quite a hike, you have to go past the house and play chicken with a large friendly dog to get there and back, which is fun but maybe not ideal. I would make some changes and clean things up a bit in the surroundings if I were them, but no major complaints, the place is beautiful just not super private. They do respect your privacy and totally leave you alone though. One thing, be aware that the connectivity is spoty. I was texting them via the SMS initiated by hipcamp, but their responses would only go to the app, which I was unable to access while on their property, so it was a bit frustrating (not at all their fault) not getting responses to our questions for two days, only to see they had responded right away but we could only see it in the app once we got home.

Everything was just as advertised. Upon our arrival, they warmly greeted us and even offered to help with the fire, considering the rainy weather. They then escorted us to the campsite. Strongly recommended

No trees for hammocks. Beautiful open field on a farm. Host was not available at check in, so we called and she returned the call later that evening. Just follow the website instructions for directions, the camp site is a few turns once you get onto the property.

Meadow Land
Meadow Land was phenomenal!! The actual space was gorgeous- peaceful, green, and easy to get to. Angela was also super kind and easygoing- we have a very old camper that makes ETAs a little unreliable, but Angela was easy to communicate with and fully accommodated our later than expected arrival :) I would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great time at this site and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. It was easy to find and provided lots of privacy. The fire pit is in a nicely maintained grassy area of the field and has amazing views of the night sky! I highly recommend staying here.
