We enjoyed staying at The Field! Wide open space for our kids to play ball and play with the friendly dog. It’s close to town so car traffic and light pollution are present, but not a problem. Directions were easy, but turning onto the driveway from the main road was tricky if coming from the south.

Please don't take this as a negative review. I just want people to know what the property is really like. I feel a little tricked by the ad. To me, this is a nicely mowed lawn across the street from some houses (which all had bright lights shining on us). On the other side are some industrial looking businesses (which were a bit noisy). It's also right by 2 busy roads with people driving fast and loud. There is electricity though, which is nice and the price is reasonable. Owner communicates quickly.

Once I found the site, it hadn't been mowed in awhile. The growth was well over my knees and no clear indication of where to park. It was a wide open field.

This was a really unique spot. Easy to get to from the main road but it is a dirt road for most sections. Be prepared for that. We had a lovely evening parked underneath the couple trees and then we found out there was electric in a spot in the corner. We didn't move because we didn't really care. Nick was great when he touched base with us and we enjoyed our evening there.

Pro: A nice open flat place to park. Con: There was a lot of banging and clanging and power tools until well after dark.

It’s a basic plot of land. You have trees on one side, and a few spots of houses and campers on the other. It was nice all the way around except the truck that reved up its engine late at night. I would stay here again if needed. It was clean and nicely kept and mowed. I’d give the space a 5 out of 5. Neighbors maybe give it a 4 out of 5.

The perfect escape if you have business/pleasure in Olympia but don't want to deal with all the drama of staying in the city. The amenities the host provide are second to none. This will be my go to spot whenever I'm in the area.

Perfect spot for quick overnight stay. We had an AMAZING lightening bug show at night! Great commz with Nick. Nice flat spot….bridge is narrow …keep in mind if a large rig …will stay again :)

We stayed in a small RV with our 3 dogs and they just loved the open space to run off the leash, nearby is a small creek and we relaxed and the dogs enjoyed that too. We liked just kicking back and relaxing, its quiet, and you can see the stars. Just a short drive from St. Louis. Host was very accommodating. It’s just an open lot with a small shed with some goats and chickens. Overall it was a good night and the creek is small but I really liked just sitting next to it and listening to nature. Plenty of room if you wanted to put up a volleyball net or play horseshoes. Perfect if you want a quiet place to stay the night when you’re passing through or possibly have a family picnic. Plenty of space nice level field. Very close to town if you want delivery or just simply forgot, something We will definitely come back.

It was nice and quiet in Nick's field the night we stayed there. Nick responded quickly to our texts and gave us great directions. We drove right there even though it was dark when we arrived. Our old dog enjoyed being off leash and sniffing around the field. Our cat also enjoyed having the dog outside and the quiet. We mostly just needed a place on our route to sleep and Nick's field was perfect for us. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Overall, our stay was exactly as the description provided. Open field, quiet “country” area close to the big city. We had the field to ourselves for our stay, so it perfect for us and our dogs to be able to run & play. If you need a boon-docking/ dry camp place close to St Louis area, this place is perfect!! Host is very relaxed and friendly. He even was able to provide us some water for our tank so we could extend our stay- he went out of his way to do that & he really didn’t have to. Generally quiet area. Mostly private as well- couple houses across the road, but distance enough that it feels secluded. We lucked out that the ground wasn’t too wet when we arrived, but I could imagine some RVs having problems in open grass areas with mud and traction problems, just something to be aware of. Also, the chip gravel road coming in directly to the property is a bit narrow and bumpy- we managed with our 36’ fifth wheel, but again, something to be aware of. Some reviews mention “trash” and “trashy”…. so I was mildly worried before arriving…. But I wouldn’t describe it that way at all!! There are a couple storage containers on the edge of the property for the owners storage (no accumulation of trash around them); and there’s an old truck on the back of the property with some spare car parts & tools etc that the owner stores there (again, pieces and parts, but not trash by any means); and there’s a big brush pile of leaves, branches, wood, etc being accumulated in the middle of the field for a burn pile (not trash, just burnable things)— I would describe this as a field being partially used in the country, but definitely not trashy.

Convenient spot close to St. Louis. Creek area was relaxing and good for cooling off us and our dogs. A little junky and very buggy. Make sure to bring big spray.
