Sunny Mellow Eco Villa is the land with a great history. The QUIET, secret Shangra-La Valley just over the ridge from Route 66 (and I-40) was the camping place for Billy the Kid and his gang! They could quickly saddle up when the posted lookout on the ridge above signaled the passing of the stagecoach! Even more stunning, it was the Tijeras Indian Pueblo Tribe's place of roaming and rest. The land now sports an Organic Vineyard, Orchard and Vegetable Garden that guests my forage from when in bloom. A Large, Clean, Secluded Redwood Yoga Deck, Ping-Pong, Horseshoes, and a Giant Swing Set, along with patios and lounges that are found over the 8 acre land, and all joined by a network of Scenic Pathways and Bridges that connect The Vineyard, The Orchard, The Garden, The Solar Array, The Swing, The Yoga Deck, Ping Pong Terrace, Horse shoe Pit... A beautiful and peaceful place to rest. Sunny Mellow's atmosphere is perfect and you can tell that the owners are truly passionate about what they've created. My daughter loved the swing!

First Class Glamping!
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
Wow just wow! This location is exquisite from the moment you drive in! All the details were nicely done. Definitely an upgraded first class glamping! Inside the yurt is luxurious and just the place we needed to relax after our long drive. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for making a nice little breakfast before heading out for the day and also convenient for whipping together a little evening charcuterie to accompany your night cap. The property is beautiful to explore our favorite part was the enormous swing set! Of course coming in at a close second was the star chamber for a night gaze before hoping into the king size bed! Lots of fun things to check out around Tijeras as well! We visited the Sandia Crest and the Tijeras Pueblo, had lunch in Albuquerque at the Church St Cafe, tried a local brew at Rumors and grabbed breakfast before heading out at Roots Farm Cafe. Would recommend all these places!

This place is a gem. This was my second time staying in the treehouse with my daughter and it was lovely. Very funky, but in a charming way, and well taken care of. Highly recommend

Chi-Treehouse at Sunny Mellow Villa
Holy smokes, what a magical place! Greg was super welcoming and gave a tour of the land, hipcamp sites, and longer term rentals on the property all connected by a labryinth of lighted paths and quirky, creative surprises everywhere. The Chihouse is like the tree fort you always wanted as a child, but has everything you need to be comfortable including a really great outdoor kitchen and shower (great water pressure and heat!). The location is awesome as you can cruise right up the The Turquoise trail to Madrid and Cerrilos (funky bohemian little towns), but also close to great hiking around the Sandia mountains and a short drive to Albuquerque. Totally recommend!

Tranquil oasis
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
An incredible experience I had staying here— the feeling of calm and carefully cultivated natural peace is unmatched. There are so many wonderful places to sit and enjoy the trees and the birds, or to enjoy a delicious coffee, or to have a giggly conversation with a friend or partner. The hosts of this land are phenomenal human beings, complete with wonderful stories and kind words and dazzling smiles. I will absolutely be bringing the people I love most back to this spot with me, so that they too can experience the magic. Already counting down the days until I am able to return—hopefully in the summer, when the fruit trees have blossomed. :)

Best hip camp ever!
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
This place was awesome! We had everything we could possibly want and need. Gregory and Robbie were so sweet and helpful with everything from advice on things to do to making us feel truly at home! We even extended our stay once we learned another night was available. This place is a must stay if you’re ever near Albuquerque!

Really enjoyed the cozy tree-house very much and the outdoor shower and yoga deck were great. Greg very kind and accommodating. I was surprised, though, at the noise from the freeway, which was pretty constant. Greg and Robbie can't change this fact, but the listing says no freeway noise and that wasn't so...

What a wonderful and peaceful place to stay. Greeted by Greg, who gave a rundown of the amenities offered, as well as things to do locally. Outstanding bed, and the yurt was cozy and comfortable. Outdoor kitchen was perfect and the surroundings were serene and peaceful. Highly recommend!!

A great place for us to relax at the end of a long road trip. Soft bed. Wonderful outdoor kitchen. So many diffwrent places to chill. Great hot semi outdoor shower. Nice and private. Robbie showed us all around. She thought of every little detail. You may hear some background noise from down the road at night. But it is not too loud and goes away during the day. Close to Albuquerque. Perfect location for balloon fiesta visitors.

We had an amazing stay at the Yoga Yurta! Greg and his wife were super friendly and had plenty of fun stories and recommendations for what to do in the surrounding area. They've made such a welcoming area, full of creativity, nature, and calm. The yurt and adjacent kitchen were adorable and had everything we needed, and we loved the cute and functional outdoor shower. If we're ever in the area in the future, we'd love to stay again! Highly recommended.

The perfect getaway
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
Stay here!!!! We booked the yoga yurta for the Hozier concert. Sitting over in Tijeras you’re away from the bustle in such a beautiful place. This property will fill you with peace and serenity so much you won’t want to leave! The bed is comfy, the shower is hot, the grounds are beautiful, and the hosts are so nice. You won’t regret coming to sunny mellow. Be sure to relax on the yoga deck and release your inner child on the huge swings up front. Thank you guys so much for such a lovely birthday!!!

The tree house is an absolutely perfect little escape from the city for a night. Loved the nicely stocked kitchen and the lovely evening breeze while we drifted to sleep. A truly beautiful place to reset and relax. We will be back. Thank you!

Fine Yurt Glamping near Albuquerque
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
Amazing property with tons of amenities. The yurt was extremely comfortable. Outdoor kitchen with all kitchen appliances was awesome to have. Outdoor enclosed bathroom with hot shower, sink, and standard flush toilet was great. This is glamping at it's finest! And host Greg was very gracious and provided local food and tourist info (which was great).

The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
We had a great time here! There were so many thoughtful amenities- the fire pit, the outdoor kitchen, the hidden hammocks to name a few. The yurt itself was really comfortable and I loved looking up through the skylight. Truly a special place and I highly recommend it!

Wir sind erst nach Sonnenuntergang angereist, wurden vor Ort dann herzlichst von Greg empfangen. Er zeigte uns unsere Unterkunft und alles drum herum. Ich habe selten so eine schöne und gemütliche Outdoor Unterkunft gesehen. Man hat dort alles was man braucht. Mein persönliches Highlight war das Badezimmer, dass ein kleines Stück entfernt vom Schlafplatz lag. Eine kleine selbstgebaute Holzhütte mit Toilette, Waschbecken und nicht überdachter Dusche - eine tolle Erfahrung so duschen zu können, bei Nacht und auch Tag. Dieser Ort ist wirklich empfehlenswert, auch für ein paar Nächte länger.

The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
What a hidden little gem. My partner and I were so appreciative to have such a cozy and comfortable Yurta to rest in after a long road trip. It was raining when we arrived, but the yurt kept us completely dry while the sounds of the rain were comforting through the evening. The yurt even has an a/c unit, tv, and incredibly comfortable bed. We had coffee at our outdoor kitchen in the morning and picked some plums in the orchard. Wish we would have had more than one evening to explore all that the grounds offered, but another time!

Wow! What an incredibly extraordinary experience. We were on a big birthday road trip when we came across Greg’s property and upon arrival we knew we’d found heaven. Greg opening his property to travelers is such a gift to all of us who are lucky enough to stumble upon it online. Nice Zen Feel
The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow
Fantastic place ti stop for a night or spend a few days. Felt like a mini retreat. The layout is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the daily hustle and reground themselves. Gregory and his wife are wonder host, and are very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again, perhaps for longer duration.

Chi-Treehouse at Sunny Mellow Villa
Sunny Mellow Villa is one of the coolest places we’ve ever been. We stayed here for a night during a camping/roadtrip and we wished we could have stayed longer. Every piece of the property is so thought out and hand-crafted to create a peaceful oasis for you during your stay. Speaking with Greg and his wife, Robbie, enhanced the experience even more just hearing their story and how the whole property came about. They couldn’t have been nicer. We definitely will be returning and recommending to any friends traveling through the area.

Another wonderful stay! Greg and Robbie are welcoming hosts. Both the Yoga Yurta and Treehouse offer a great glamping experience. Each accommodation has an outdoor kitchen and they are in a peaceful setting. We always feel so relaxed during our stay and look forward to our next one.
