This is a gem of a glamping spot. Privacy, trails, cozy. The host provides all the essentials. As a solo traveler, I feel super safe and secure. Very dog friendly. Such a cute and unique place. I love it and look forward to returning.

The Conifer Cabin was a lovely little spot. We loved the privacy of being nestled in the trees, grilling out and sitting by the fire, and our dog had a blast running around the fenced in area. The eggs from the chickens onsite were a great touch, too!

Such a beautiful and inviting space! The cabin is adorable and very comfy. I loved watching the ducks in the morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Conifer Cabin
The property and cabin were beyond my expectations. It had everything inside and out that we needed. We took our dog and she too had such a good time hiking on the property. Very clean and organized and the host was very friendly. Liked the proximity to other locations for additional hiking. Thanks so much for sharing your property and love all you do for the animals to rehabilitate and find new homes for them.
My daughter and will definitely be back in the spring as I rate this camp as a 10 plus.

Conifer Cabin
Our stay at Shady Owl Ranch was perfect! We stayed in the Conifer Cabin. I was able to cook dinner using the fire pit grate and there was even a small range in the kitchen. The location was private and peaceful, and the loft bed was comfy. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and especially visiting the animals. My daughter could have spent a whole week just cuddling the kittens! Thanks for being a great host, Amanda!

Conifer cabin was a lovely place to stay on a secluded part of the property. I enjoyed spending time with the rescued and adoptable animals. Amanda and Chuck are amazing hosts!

My dogs and I had a blast on shady owl ranch. It was the perfect compromise for us all. The enclosed dog park and on-site trials was such a perk! We didnât feel the desire to leave the property during our entire stay. It was such a peaceful and lovely place. The cabin was extremely cozy and had everything we needed to go âglampingâ. It felt very private but not secluded. We loved being able to interact with all the rescue animals as well. Your lifestyle is an inspiration!

Beautiful oasis of tranquility. I sat by the pond, took little walks, built a campfire and slept like a baby. A wonderful restful retreat. Oh, and the eggs are outstanding!

My husband and I LOVED this beautiful spot! The peaceful atmosphere of the lake, the adorable rescue animals, along with the friendly chickens made it a place we will 100% be coming back to! Conifer Cabin
We enjoyed staying the night in Conifer Cabin with our two younger children. We felt safe on their gated property, and we enjoyed the privacy of our little cabin in the woods. The kids loved walking the trails on the property, seeing the chickens and finding Martha Washington, and hanging out by the giant campfire ring. The kids were also delighted by the cat that hung around the cabin. I loved that we were able to hear screech owls just as it started to get dark.
The cabin included everything you'd need for a short stay. I recommend bringing a lighter or matches to ignite the stove. We had one on hand. It was fun sleeping in the loft. The kids slept soundly on the fouton.
We look forward to returning in the future to check out some of the local things to do.

My brother and I loved our little excursion in this hidden gem! Lots of friendly pets to enjoy (dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks). The host was very friendly and for an up charge of $5 we had unlimited firewood which came in handy for our campfire cooking. The cabin itself is pretty small, but the layout worked well for a party of 2 (and Iâm sure it would work well for 4 as well). Could not recommend enough for those that want to âtent campâ without the tent.

This weekend was so restorative! The pond view from the cabin porch was amazing and being around so many animals was wonderful! The cats will even go hiking with you! I will definitely be back again soon! Highly recommend.

My friend and I did a girlâs weekend here and had a great time. We really enjoyed our stay, Amanda and Chuck were both very welcoming and friendly and also provided suggestions of what to do in the area. We also enjoyed walking around the trials on their property, and playing with the rescue kitties, they were very sweet. The property is so close to town that there is plenty to do, but also secluded enough that if you just want to chill at the cabin, that was easy to do too. We stayed at songbird and enjoyed sitting on the porch with the view of the pond both in the morning and evening time. Thank you for opening up this space for campers :)

Me and my friend had stayed at Shady Owl Ranch for a few days for the Inkcarceration festival up in Mansfield. The hosts were absolutely fantastic with any and all of our needs, and incredibly kind.
Beautiful land, lots of friendly animals, and some farm goods for sale. The cabin was clean and comfortable for two people, but could easily fit 3.
They had kittens during our stay, so I ended up adopting one and she's coming home with me!
Would recommend a stay, and plan on staying there again when we come out this way!

The Conifer cabin was such a nice getaway for my husband and I. The directions to get to the location were spot on and the property is just beautiful! Our pup enjoyed running around in the designated dog area and I enjoyed meeting/playing with the kittens. We drove out to Knox lake while we stayed here which seems like a great fishing spot! Missed out on paddle boarding at the pond on property but would love to come again!

We had an amazing stay at Shady Owl Ranch with our 2 dogs.
The property is beautiful and the songbird suite was perfect for us with a beautiful morning coffee view of the pond. The fenced off leash area for the dogs to run was such a nice spot for our dogs to explore and get some energy out!
The amenities were such a nice glamping bonus. Compost potty and rainwater shower in the cabin were both very convenient. The outhouse is a little bit of a walk but was in very good condition.

We loved staying in this little cabin in the woods, the secluded location was perfect to have your own little piece of peace, nature, family and joy. The cabin was well furnished and the loft bed was comfortable. We lit a tiny but of wood in the wood stove just to give us that campfire aroma. My wife was good with the compost toilet, I opted for the outhouse lol. Our pup loved listening to the success of the woods and he grasses out front. We set up a projector and watched films against the door curtains. We did use the the stove top a lot and we brought our own percolator coffee pot. We fisher's kayaked nearby at Knox Lake, but also loved the trails and duck pond on the property. My wife couldn't get enough of the kittens. The chickens were fun and it was a short drive into town for pizza and modern amenities if you desire them. We would love to visit again! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Shady Owl ranch. Conifer Cabin is adorable. The cabin has almost all of the every day conveniences you would have at home, but surrounded by beautiful woods under a moonlit sky. My bestie and I felt like 2 little hobbits on an adventure. Also, the trails are beautiful and you might find a secret gnome. đ

Myself and two friends were on our way to Kentucky but weâre taking our time and stopping at a few disc golf courses along the way. We found a nice course and wanted to stay close for the night. When I found this air bnb I didnât hesitate to book it, and when we showed up after being in the car for 12 hours it was exactly what we needed, peaceful and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the lot was spacious. We really enjoyed our stay!
