Peaceful Hills Retreat 390 American Way Centerville, TN 37033 (Pleasantville) Looking for the perfect getaway, you will find some peace and quiet here! Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log cabin, is where the host lives. The third home is the cottage. Long before these three homes were built, native Indians lived in these beautiful rolling hills and we have found many arrowheads right around the homes on this property. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you! Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place. Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors and the Honeymoon Cottage makes for the perfect getaway afterwards. At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). This life-changing, wonderful foundation near Nashville, serves children all over our great nation who have sadly lost a parent who served in our military. ASC tremendously helped Jennifer’s family after the loss of their military soldier and Peaceful Hills Retreat donates a portion of their profits to this amazing non-profit. A Soldier’s Child Foundation removed the shame and sadness from our loss and replaced it with hope, honor. and love. A portion of our increase at Peaceful Hills Retreat goes to serve this cause to help other families. To learn more, to donate or to get involved, please visit: asoldierschild.org. If you have any other questions or if you need anything at all during your stay, please text us and we'll be happy to help. Hope to see you soon!

#25 Whistling Oaks
The tent sites here are all unique, no two exactly the same. Very nice wooded area for all the sites with plenty of room for probably a 6-8 person tent and even bigger on some of the other sites, even multiple tents. Jennifer, the host, is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our two day stay here and are already thinking about returning for another stay with a couple of friends. It's peaceful and quiet. The camp is clean and you really feel in touch with nature out there. I would certainly recommend this camp if tent camping is your thing. It is a bit of a drive, maybe 20 minutes if you need to head into town for anything. Wasn't a problem for our stay I'm glad I found this camp, as it's affordable and a beautiful place to just get away to relax. There is a river/stream that is easy to walk down to and hike or splash around in. I think there is an area to even swim, but check with the host, Jennifer to find out for sure.

A Must Camp!
Recently had the pleasure of staying at Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground, Jennifer and Timothy were friendly and amazing hosts through our two night stay at Chipmunk Corner with great communication and assisting when needed. The sounds of nature and hiking sceneries were fantastic - will definitely return!

Hidden Gem
This property is beautiful. We loved site 22. Secluded, well designed, close enough to a bathroom when needed. Host's directions were very clear. We camped two nights through a couple thunderstorms and cannot wait to come back for more fun in sunnier weather. Were able to hike through the property in-between storms. Enjoyed the playground area.

Beautiful spot - peaceful sleeping and easy access to the creek and waterfall. The trees (and an existing guyline - I couldn't tell if that was there by choice or left by a previous camper) were spaced perfectly to set up my rain tarp. Though it didn't rain in the end, I never worried about the set up. We didn't stay long but I would definitely recommend. The creek was cold and clean, just beautiful!

Wonderful minus the ticks
Overall the site was great, it was very spacious, had everything we needed. We brought our two young kids and dog and we all had a great time exploring the hiking trails, playground, and creek area. The driveway up to the site was a little washed out and very rough so it was tough on our Kia sorento. We made it, but a good thing to note! The one main downside was the ticks. It was probably just the time of year and all of the babies were hatching but it was awful. I wish I was exaggerating when I say we killed 20-30 ticks in the 20 hours we were there. We used bug spray religiously, checked each other constantly and were super careful about keeping the tent door closed at all times and I was still woken up to ticks crawling on me. Our dog had another 30+ on her that we discovered once immediately giving her a bath once we got home. The space itself was beautiful, fun, enjoyable, and everything we were looking for. But man the ticks were bad.
