This was our second time at Buck Meadows. The first was Ducks Roast. This time was Kicking Horse. Both were outstanding. The hosts were terrific, willing to help with anything you need.

Huckleberry Hideout
Bryant was very helpful with directions and showing us to our site. If you are looking for a place with solitude from neighbors this is it. The property is very spacious with walking trails and the Yakima river is right there. His sites have a fire pit with chairs/benches, garbage can, picnic table w/bug zapper and even a bucket of water to put the fire out. All the necessities were covered which made it very comfortable. We can't wait to come back next year!

Kicking Horse Flats
I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at Buck Meadows. We felt secluded at our campsite but also safe. The owners kept in touch with us frequently in order to keep our stay comfortable. And if we had any issues they were always available to help. It was a really great camping experience for us.

Duke’s Roost
We had an absolutely lovely weekend stay at the Duke’s Roost site. Brynn is the type of host you hope for when choosing a Hipcamp. This piece of property is in a very unique location along the river in that the railroad isn’t directly on the other side. It is tranquil and relaxing. Although there are other sites on the property, they are far enough away that we felt completely alone, aside from the occasional sound that reminded us that we were not far from civilization. We enjoyed listening to coyotes and a pair of dueling owls. In the far distance, we could hear a rooster crow in the morning. We came over for some rockhounding at First Creek and Redtop Lookout. Both an easy drive from the site. However, there are so many other reasons to enjoy a place like this. We will definitely be back for some of that blue ribbon fishing and more time enjoying the beautiful landscape. What a special place to call home and a gift for the rest of us to enjoy for a brief time.

Duke’s Roost
Our family loved our stay a Dukes Roost and we will be back next year! Brynn was very welcoming and a great host from start to finish.
The property is beautiful, peaceful and fun to explore along all the river trails. Great place to stay and relax or to explore the area from.

We loved camping here. We had a couple of other campers with us. The property is well taken care of, the walk to the river was less than 2 minutes. It was amazing. We all had such a great time. We will definitely come back again. The hosts were amazing and accommodating.

Host is super nice and the property is amazing. It has tons of walking trails and a small pond with a peddle boat and all the sites are just a 1-2 min walk to the river. Thanks again we’ll be staying here again for sure.

Brynn was very responsive and helpful with all communication. We booked our stay to get away from the city fireworks noise since our dogs hate them so much. There was a cancellation so she came and met us on arrival to show us two of the camp sites so we could choose which one we wanted. We decided on Dukes which was the original site we had reserved. This site is huge, but private. There are lots of trees to shade the site. You could fit a few trailers if you had a big group. It’s close to Ellensburg if you need to do some shopping which we did. We took a day trip to Lake Easton State park which is beautiful, and we also checked out Lake Kachess. The water is turquoise and gorgeous! We stopped at a little burger drive in.. Arrow? They had amazing milkshakes!
We were going to go to a concert on Saturday as Brynn had suggested, but we were having problems with our trailer so decided to head home a day early. We would definitely stay again.

We camped out for one night here. It was the perfect place to get away. Next to the river, fishing was easily accessible. Pretty shallow water this time of year so the kids were able to play in the water as well. The host was great. Definitely coming back here again.

Both Brynn and her property are awesome! The lot is a nice mix of cottonwood forest and open space with some ponds mixed in. There is plenty of rocky space to sit by the river, but it is a bit quick in this section for much else. We stayed at the Kicking Horse Flats site and the next campers were at least 100 yards away. If you're coming from the west, I suggest taking 10 as it's very scenic and arguably quicker (I would only take 90 if you need to use the dump station at Indian John Hill). Don't forget to stop in Cle Elum on the way in to buy your meat at Owen's and then get your produce at Thorp Fruit!

Beautiful, well appointed spot right next to the river. Great for small group camping as well. The hosts were very gracious, providing clear directions and clean amenities for us to have a great stay! Even got a beautiful trophy trout right off the site! I’ll come again many times.

We love Buck’s Meadow! All the sites are amazing - open, clean, stocked with firewood, new picnic tables! The fall leaves were gorgeous. We can’t wait to go back!

This is our second trip to this spot! So much room to roam. Brynn was great and greeted us the night we arrived even with being busy with her own family! They provided a solar bug light but even with the pond nearby the bugs were not bad at all. The wind is common here and didn’t pick up until our last night. So close to trails and fishing. We sat in our hammocks and relaxed the weekend away. 10/10

Our second 4th of July back at this camp site did not disappoint! We absolutely love the peace and serenity we feel here. The hosts couldn’t be more warm and inviting. We truly feel at home here at our favorite escape from the city. Especially over the 4th of July. Without a firework in site we can enjoy the quiet with our dogs who are terribly afraid of fireworks. The only issue this year was a noisy neighbors generator, but even then the hosts graciously let us move to a different spot to continue enjoying the sounds of the river and the birds. This camping experience was once again a 10 out of 10! Hoping to make next year our 3rd time returning!

We loved it here. Peaceful, beautiful and clean property. My son especially loved the animals (Scooter the cat is super friendly) and watching the bats at night. We would definitely come back again with the entire family. Thanks for the great stay!

Buck Meadows River Frontage
Brynn and her husband were wonderful hosts and even gave us a dozen of the freshest eggs. We stayed in space #3 (farthest spot) that was quiet and well shaded from the hot sun. Easy access in and out with our 15 foot travel trailer. We will visit again on our travels. There wasn't much of a view or a place to play in the river without driving it was a nice place to chill and relax. Lots of room between spaces and room for a stroll or the kiddos to run around.
