Unique and beautiful property with lots of room and privacy. We really enjoyed exploring the trails with our dogs. Hosts were very friendly and responsive - would love to visit again!

This was our first Hipcamp stay and it did not disappoint! The host met us upon arrival and escorted us to our camping area. The property is beautifully maintained (including the port-a-potty which was spotless) and provided a peaceful place to rest for the night. Would definitely return :)

Enjoyed my stay at cascara! I had the quiet meadow to myself for this late season stay. On arrival i ended up missing the stop for the hosts, who noticed, caught up to me and got me to the right spot :) can’t say enough good about the help getting settled. In the area i was in there are no marked spaces (it’s rustic) but the host was right there to explain my options and to spot me getting in. Would stay again…

My family loved tent camping here! We stayed in the Hemlock site and it was perfect! The host was welcoming and the little camp store was stocked with anything you might need. We had 2 vehicles and 3 tents in our group and had plenty of room to spread out. Very quiet.

Stumbled upon this listing while looking for a place to stay close to family that lives on Harstine Island. It’s a beautiful little spot, just outside of town. It’s quiet and peaceful. Tracy was great with communicating necessary information leading up to our stay and was so helpful upon our arrival. The little store on the property is great, especially when you forget your firewood when leaving town! We loved that they provide propane fire pits when there is a burn ban and even have tanks available to rent!
We will definitely be staying here again in the future and will be recommending it to friends and family!

I highly recommend Malaney Creek Farm. Tracy was friendly and helpful, and she also offered us an alternative spot as it was open. Both Hemlock and the alternative were private and spacious, but we chose the alternative (can't recall the name) as it was a little more to our liking.
The site was clean, with a nearby shared space that had a Honey Bucket, sink, and trash cans.
At night, it was very quiet, but you can faintly hear the occasional driver with loud exhaust somewhere.
Overall, it was a great experience and we would absolutely book this place again.

Overflow Campsite at the farm
This is an incredible spot and Tracy was a fantastic host. It was easy to book, communication was great, and the land is absolutely gorgeous. Sites are nicely spaced and there are lots of trees and trails and things to do. It’s clear the hosts love their land, take great care of it, and want guests to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Tracy and Dan were very kind and helpful. We were stuck on a busy holiday weekend with no place to put our teardrop trailer. Their overflow camping in the field by the Creekside campsite was perfect and very relaxing. Great night of watching the stars and meteors. 💫 Porta potty nice and clean and only used by us and one other campsite. Highly recommend! Oh - and we discovered the public access to Spencer Lake is a 3 min drive away. Great spot to put in our paddle boards for a late afternoon paddle. Thanks Tracy and San for sharing your lovely land with us!

Overflow Campsite at the farm
Nice campsite. We were in the overflow camping so there weren't any amenities (such as picnic table or fire pit) but there was a clean Porta potty not far from the site. We sleep in the back of our pick up and literally arrived went to sleep, woke up, and headed out so we didn't need anything more than that. The space was secluded and private. Nestled under a canopy of trees, it was comfy and the sun didnt wake us up. I slept until almost 9:30 and thought it must be only 7 when I woke up! Good night sleep. Would stay here again but would prefer a regular site if staying for more than just a place to crash.

We wanted to have one last family camping trip and super happy to have found this spot on hipcamp. The hosts are super great and friendly and provide great directions. Our camping spot was quiet, secluded and clean. We typically camp up log roads in the mountains so this was very very comfortable. I was so impressed with all the walking trails and how well-kept the gravel property roads are. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into keeping the property nice for everyone but not taking anything away from wildlife. Our dog found some fresh bear poop to roll around in so that was great to see.

We had a great time at the salmon berry site. It’s the most secluded being at the end of the road. The site is massive and has a nice large tarp over head. We enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the horses. Tracy was extremely friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks again

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this campsite! The grounds were incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for our family to spread out and enjoy nature. Each campsite was tucked away in its own private nook, surrounded by beautiful trees and foliage that provided both shade and a sense of seclusion.
The hosts were exceptionally kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

This was a gem of a find. The whole property is beautiful and accessible to campers. The sites themselves are spacious and have plenty of privacy! My favorite aspect of Cascara is that you can’t see any other sites from it. We felt secluded, but never isolated. The porta-john was clean as a whistle and stocked with toilets paper. Just an overall awesome stay for the 4th of July.

We loved our stay. Trillium was a large stie that felt very private. We could hear the other site down the way, but just barely. Dan was very nice and showed us everything we needed, the store is a great bonus! We were visited by a slightly territorial barred owl which was exciting but a little noisy.

We (2 humans, 1 dog) absolutely loved camping on Tracy’s farm. Our site (Trillium) was so carefully and thoughtfully built. The perfect place to unwind in privacy and close to plenty of fun outdoor activities!

We stayed at Creekside and it was a great space perfect for our group. We got there on Saturday after a long day of disc golf in the area and had to leave a little early on Sunday, and it worked out well. It's just close enough to Shelton. We would've liked to have seen more of the farm and other amenities. We stayed up late sitting around the campfire. We never unpacked our chairs, the Adirondack chairs are clean and comfortable. Sleeping in this cozy area was fantastic. In the morning a deer walked by the cars. Really great to get out of the city for the weekend. This was our first time using HipCamp, and we're very happy with how it went. We hope to be back!

Stayed one night in Creekside and looking forward to going back soon! Site is huge, private, tidy, and well designed with a large rain fly and cozy fire pit. The care and hard work that went into the site are apparent - everything is laid out perfectly and well-executed. Hosts were attentive and explained all the amenities of the farm. I’m excited to check out the wetlands trail on my next visit - it sounds amazing!

It was mostly very peaceful and relaxing. One of the days there was a boy (maybe host’s relative?) riding by on a variety of motor vehicles (electric mountain bike, dirt bike, ATV, etc) riding by our site throughout the day, but I think this was a rare occurrence and the host was quick to remedy it when we mentioned it. The kid was incredibly sweet and apologized for riding too close to me and even made a point to check in on us from time to time to make sure everything was going ok or to ask if we needed anything. He’s a future camp host in the making!
We loved the amenities at the site — the chairs were perfect for relaxing by the fire. The host brought wood to our site when we notified them we were going to be late, which was really kind of them. The tarp was a nice touch if it were raining but I personally like the open air over the camp kitchen and picnic table. Although I appreciated it kept most of the leaves off our stuff!
The overall property, porta potty, and site was very well maintained. Absolutely beautiful space. We’re already talking about returning so we can check out Olympic National Park since we didn’t know it was so close!

What a peaceful property. The pride and work of the hosts really shows. We were fortunate to stay the first week of the camp store being open where we found some tasty treats. Loved the wide open space for our kids and dog to explore. We put a couple miles on the mountain bike exploring the trails. At the hosts suggestion we ventured out the wetlands trail and we happy we did. Really cool. Will be back for sure.
