Welcome 2025 Hipcampers! We have many exciting changes for our guests this year INCLUDING a wood fired sauna, a store/café/multi-use space, & more! New sites added: - A gorgeous geodesic dome that can sleep 6 - A super cute converted blue bus that sleeps 4 - 2 RV/Van/Bus/tent spots, the first can manage up to 30 feet; the second 40+, both with picnic tables &umbrellas *To book the whole property for an event or retreat go to the website (www.waterfallsanctuary.com) to inquire about availability & options, or simply select in listings. BEFORE BOOKING: Please read all rules & restrictions- due to some guests we had to update & add new ones. **DOGS (MAX 2 per site- select under "Extras" for each dog- $15/night fee each): PLEASE read ALL the rules- especially about having your dog on a leash AT ALL times while on the property. More info under the pet rule section. Thank you! Waterfall Sanctuary is a hidden gem on 17 acres, bordered on two sides by the Gifford Pinchot N F. In the heart of the Columbia River Gorge just outside Carson, Washington, it is home to a mini-farm with goats, ducks, & chickens. Deer & elk walk through the property on a fairly regular basis depending on the season, it's less than a mile walk (or short drive) to the Wind River & a swimming hole, & a short distance further is the Pacific Crest Trail. A 20-minute drive & you're at the Columbia River. An hour to the West is Portland if you are in the mood for some city life, & 35 minutes east is Hood River, a gorgeous old town with tons of charm. The closest town, Stevenson, Washington is home to shops, local restaurants, & access to the Columbia River. Also in close proximity are amazing waterfalls, trails, & National Forest roads that are close by & well maintained. No matter the season there is something to do a short distance from the property. Keep in mind that the property is very rugged except for the trails we have provided to access other parts of the property. We are as off grid & sustainable as possible- while no electricity or running water is available at the individual sites, we provide battery or solar operated lighting, & a container of water for each site.

Sweet Dreams & Pretty Streams
Absolutely unique and tranquil 🫠 They had amazing recommendations on where to play outside and look for trinkets and treasures! Loved the vibe, and was able to wonderfully accommodate me with a disability and my licensed task trained service dog. Thank you!

Absolutely perfect!!
Our trip to Waterfall Sanctuary for a two-night camping getaway was absolutely relaxing and refreshing. We were immersed in nature at our campsite and enjoyed the diversity of the native plants around us, a hundred different bird songs coming from the trees and even spotted a few visitors at our campsite (a squirrel and a very inquisitive hummingbird!) Just a short walk away, we were spoiled with the luxury of a roomy sauna, coffee bar and bathroom and shower facilities. It was really the best of both worlds! Tyla was so kind and hospitable. She even helped us out by jumping our car when we accidentally let the battery die. We really enjoyed visiting with her and her various animals. Overall, an absolutely wonderful time. We can’t wait to go back again!

Not a good option for a trailer
21 ft travel trailer ·
Site 9- Quiet Wooded Camp (60ft)
The parking area for our truck and trailer was covered with large chunky gravel. This was hard for our dog to walk on. We understand it helps with drainage, but it could be softer like a regular campground. As we left, our 21 foot trailer barely made the turns to get out without hitting trees. The other camping options seem nice and the animals offer a friendly touch.

We had a great time staying on Tyla’s land. She was very accommodating and the cabin was clean and cozy. This a great location to be off the main road but still accessible to everything. We will definitely return to stay again!

Tyla was very welcoming and accommodating! The property was beautiful and clean, and the air smelled heavenly. The animals looked clean and happy 😻 Be prepared to do a spider sweep if you plan to use the bathroom/shower! The portapotty was well maintained. Would stay again!
