Welcome to Starry Night New River Gorge of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Starry Nights NRG is 88 acres of mountain top land in the heart of Southeast WV with easy access to a lake, rivers, State Parks, and National Parks. Enjoy long range views to the East and West of the Appalachian and Allegheny Mountains. See the sun rise and fall beyond the distant blue ridge lines as you await vast night skies free of light pollution. Watch the smoke rise from the forests creating clouds after a foggy morning or rain. Discover cliffs, caves, springs and more as you adventure the land. Hike the terrain with the East and West side of the property providing different experiences. All wildlife is in abundance and bird watchers rejoice, the forests and fields are alive. Enjoy the peace, still and quiet that comes with seclusion deep in the mountains. There are currently three camping sites available. Each one comes with a picnic table, fire ring, trash can and an outhouse. Cell phone and satellite service is excellent on the property. Field of Dreams is a campsite perfectly placed in the corner of a five acre field in the center of the property. Flanked by hardwood forests, this site offers privacy while still remaining open to the field and the sky above. With the largest unobstructed sky Field of Dreams has unmatched star gazing, cloud watching and all around blue sky fun! Flat or gently slopped areas make for leisurely walks filled with long range views. Bathe in the morning sun as it peaks over the crest of the property lighting up Field of Dreams. Spend your day relaxing in the blue sky as giant clouds float by to pass the time. Then walk across the field to enjoy the magic of a sunset disappearing behind the mountains. The campsite comes with a picnic table, fire pit, 55 gallon trash can and an outhouse.

4WD/AWD recommended Secret Spot is a secluded and private two acre campsite located on the far Western side of the property. The entrance is marked by two red wagon wheels and on the other side you will find an open area with level ground and ample room for parking, tents and recreation. Enjoy the quiet and secrecy of a private field surrounded by tall mature hardwood trees. Secret Spot has shade to keep cool, open sky for sunning and star gazing, and a private Southwestern view across the mountains. The site is equipped with a picnic table, fire pit, 55 gallon trash can and an outhouse.

Nestled in a flat triangular area surrounded by tall hardwood trees, Hidden Valley offers 4.5 acres of fields to enjoy as your personal camping space. Due to the shape and size of the hill that it lays below, this area feels like a natural amphitheater and is oriented towards the Milky Way. Enjoy the star filled night sky without having to lay down or look up as you enjoy the warmth of your campfire. Climb to the top of the hill to enjoy an awesome valley view across the mountains to the far wall of Bluestone Lake. Secret Spot
Secret Spot is the perfect description - perfect if you want seclusion away from the crowds! Brian was really helpful in making recommendations for activities in the area and was also really responsive to general questions. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

Great site near lots of outdoor activities. The site is well maintained and private. Barely heard the other campers. Would definitely recommend. Brian is really helpful with advice; gave us a great bike ride from Hinton to Sandstone Falls. Hinton is a great little town with lots of history. Lucky Rivers Cafe had great quality food. Healthy choices too! Gone Fishing is a good tackle/bait shop with ice cream next door. Owners are super kind.

Hidden Valley
The land was very beautiful and private. Brian was very nice and helped us find the site, made sure we could get the car back out, and suggested some close hiking spots. It was a little tricky to find the camping spot just make sure you drive slow in the field and really look for the red horseshoes. Also, make sure your car can do talk grass and mud. We had a great time with our dog.

Field of Dreams
The site was very private and quiet. The drive to the site was steep and included one lane roads (all paved) with sharp curves and switchbacks - took approximately 15-20 minutes from the bottom of the mtn to the site. Having an outhouse was a bonus, but we did have to do some cleaning before we used it.

Secret Spot
Secret Spot at Starry Nights was an amazing property/camp site. The setting was so quiet, beautiful and tranquil. I woke to awesome sounds of a woodpecker on a nearby tree and also heard the awesome sounds of owls and wild turkeys. Brian is an excellent host who goes above and beyond. He provided his site(s) with a nice picnic table, fire ring (there was even wood stacked beside the fire pit when we arrived!) and a very clean and I think recently built out-house. The property is so idyllic and well-maintained. Brian was very good at communicating and providing directions. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting New River Gorge/Hinton area! The stars are amazing!!! I got an awesome photo of Orion shining brightly above my tent, plus lots of other stars I cannot see back home due to light pollution. Thank you, Brian!
