Base Camp features a quarry pond for fishing and small watercrafts, large open fields for recreation and a bike skills course perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Currently, we do not offer tent camping - coming soon! Our RV spots are located in our paved parking lot. Each rental includes water, 30 and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups.

My family settled on this plot of land at the turn of the century, moving west in a covered wagon. And aside from a brief time in the late 80's it has been in our family ever since. For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land. Learn more about this land: The Hill, aptly named, is a hilltop that slopes down to a large pond that divides the twenty acre property in two. With plenty of room to stretch your legs you can enjoy a nature walk. In the evening enjoy the night sky around one of several fire rings, while roasting marshmallows. It’s one of the clearest lakes in the state, well known to trophy anglers and locals. Come and enjoy all your favorite wet and wild adventures, including swimming, fishing, boating, and waterskiing. There are three campgrounds, beautiful equestrian trails, and a sandy beach for all your summertime relaxation needs. Pack a picnic and unwind for the day, or extend your stay at one of the full-service campgrounds. Trail riders can make use of primitive camping facilities when they’re out horsing around. For adventures on land and in the water, head out to Big Hill Lake.

Mound Valley Campground

Great spot to camp and relax. This is a COE managed campground and it is popular so reservations during camping season is recommended. For tent campers, make sure you check out the pics of the site before booking. There may not be a space to setup the tent at the site on grass.
