This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive. The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items but the gift shop is stocked with camping supplies, as well. Variety of small wildlife in the area. All sites allow campfires UNLESS we are under a county wide burn ban. *Note moderate cancellation policy for most dates - full refund 3 days before check-in time. * ** Special event camping is a strict no refund policy.

The creek runs along the backside of a 40 acre plot, all of which you are welcome to explore for swimming holes and waterfalls! In addition, we considered a dark-friendly campground, which means at night, the skies come alive with stars, constellations, and a view of the Milky Way. Learn more about this land: We are a new 2021 RV park located in Big Fork, AR, 20 miles east of Mena and 30 miles south of Mt. Ida. We have 5 pull-through sites with full hook-ups. Sites are very spacious at 75' x 20' plus picnic, firepit, and seating areas. Guests have private access to the Big Fork Creek with swimming holes and waterfalls. We are also located near the Wolf Pen Gap ATV trails, and guests can ride directly to the trails from their RV site. Local rental companies are available for anyone not wanting to bring their own ATVs. There is plenty of overflow parking for trailers for those that do bring their own on the property as well.

We love Broken Bow (Hochatown) so bought a lot for our RV so we could enjoy year round. We now spend most of our time in Colorado so want to share this lot with others when we aren't there. This private one acre lot is for only ONE RV nearby Broken Bow Lake, OK (less than 2 miles away). This is a heavily wooded one acre lot comes with electric, septic and water. This lot is very close to the state parks and located in the area called Hochatown. The lot is less than 1/4 mile from the center of Hochatown but very private and quiet. There is a long level pad in the center of the lot. We have 50 amp power (30 amp if you have an adapter) for your RV.   There is a shed on the lot but that is for personal use. Our lot is right off Steven's Gap road on the way to the lake. If you like to fish the lake is less than 2 miles down the road and the river access is close by at Beaver's Bend State Park. The area is abundant with wild life with plenty to do and see.

The national forest is also accessible via Roger’s Pass and an easement. Bring your ATVs!If you like spectacular sunrises then this is the place for you. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera! The Legendary Talimena Byway is just a few miles down the road; a 54 mile winding wonderland across the backs of the mighty Winding Stair and Ridge Mountains with dozens of pull-offs and vistas that are a feast for the senses. Plenty of Ouachita’s endless hiking trails can be accessed from the byway. Kayaking the incredible Kiamichi river can also be on your agenda. Check out paddlers websites and forums for details and ideal entry points. Anyone like fishing? Oklahoma’s premier Bass fishing lake, Cedar Lake is a short 20 minute drive. Just wait till you see this lake; the happy little lake you’d expect in a Bob Ross masterpiece. Morning Light Mountain Lodge is a beautiful and wild place with plenty to keep you busy enjoying God’s Creation. It has a remote feel but is easily accessible from Talihina, LeFlore, Wister, Poteau, and Fort Smith, AR. Come and visit this magical place. You’ll be glad you did!

Red Slough WMA covers 5,814 acres in McCurtain County in southeast Oklahoma. Located 6 miles south of Haworth, the area consists of consists of about 2,400 acres of wetlands (Red Slough WRP), 1,600 acres of shrub/scrub habitat, 1,100 acres of bottomland hardwood reforestation, 414 acres of reservoirs, and 300 acres of woodlands. In addition Push Creek intersects the entire WMA. It is cooperatively managed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, U.S. Forest Service, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Follow the links to wildlife management areas. Habitat consists of reclaimed rice farm fields, bottomland hardwoods, small areas of open prairie, and replanted hardwood areas. The area also has a waterfowl refuge. Non-toxic shot is required for hunting with deer archery hunting allowed. All waterfowl hunting is closed after 1:00 pm local time. The average annual precipitation for the area is 54 inches.
