2 nights at The Secret Garden

We had a lovely stay at the Chalet. Hot tub was lovely and warm with music hook up. The chalet was really cosy and nice hot shower. The garden was lovely and my son enjoyed the rope swing, playing with the cat and building a fire. Hope to come again! Crantock beach with free parking for National Trust members is nearby.

Weekend Trip to Hideaway Hut, Camping cabin.

We had the best weekend in the gypsy caravan. The area was really pretty and felt very private and we had so much space to ourselves. The caravan itself was well equipped and the bed was really comfy. The separate bath caravan was also lovely.

Weekend Trip to Penylan Cider Farm

What an amazing place with beautiful views. Really enjoyed all of it. The ammenties, the service and the place. Had BBQ's, enjoyed some ciders both in the room and next door at the bar and just relaxed. If you have a chance to stay here, do it. Thank you.

Weekend Trip to The Secret Garden

Thanks Sheryl for a beautiful weekend, we had the most special 21st celebrations! The site is great really spacious and the utilities are ideal, meant we could cater for 11 of us. Has everything you’d want with the fire pit and hot tub! Sheryl was great as well, super welcoming and helpful, sorted out any issues we had immediately. Location is sweet too, we walked and bussed into town both were easy. And nice ducks!

2 nights at Celtic Woodland Holidays

We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days. It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds. The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set. We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner. The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.

2 nights at Hideaway Hut, Camping cabin.

We absolutely loved our stay! Highlights included the gorgeous bathhouse, cosy and well stocked caravan and taking peaceful walks in the woods. Anna was a helpful and generous host and made us feel so welcome.

Weekend Trip to Llandyfan Camping

We stayed as a small family of three in the Cedar Cabin for my birthday and had a great time! The Cabin was cosy, tidy and in a great spot with views down the valley. Andrew helped us settle in and had some recommendations for places to visit. We had the fire pit one night and shamefully we struggled to keep a fire going, so Andrew popped over to help out. With the anglers pond nearby, it was great for bird watching. We will definitely be returning and thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

The Pembrokeshire coastal path goes straight past the top of the drive. The beaches of freshwater west, Broadhaven and Barafundle are close by as are some of the best climbing routes of south Pembrokeshire. The hut can sleep up to 4 in one room. Ideal for a young family or couples. There is a small kitchenette with kettle, fridge,microwave,toaster and double gas hob 'Ensuite' shower and toilet. Sleeping area in one room with a double bed and a single' day bed ' that pulls out to form another double. There is an electric shower. The hut is fully insulated so can be used all year round. It has been made using 100 per cent recycling materials for the interior The wood burner provides the heating along with the air conditioning unit. . We supply wood for the first night only. After that you have to provide your own. There is plenty of electric heating in the hut if the wood burner is not for you. Please note the hot tub will not be available from February 22nd 2023 to April 5th 2023 Please let me know at the time of booking if you would like to book the Hill billy Hot tub for your stay(at additional cost of £50 for the first night then £10 for each additional night. ) to make sure it is ready for your arrival. There is an additional charge for this which is payable separately via air b and b before arrival. Please choose the hot tub as an 'extra' this must be paid for in advance. If you request the use of the tub but do not pay in advance it wont be available for you to use during your stay The hot tub is attached to the hut and forms part of its structure and is yours exclusively to use If you like open camp fires ,with a can do attitude and are prepared to overlook the odd bit of farm work going on or not going on, as the case may be. ,appreciate the magnificent view of the sun setting in the west and the non manicured lawn you'll be fine. Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Dogs: Must not to be left unattended. Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. Woolacombe Beach is a major draw for swimming, surfing, and sandcastle-building—the beach also provides on-duty lifeguards. Nearby tent pitches and caravan sites offer easy beach access. Or take the caravan out to campsites in and around Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks to explore the rolling hills and moors of the English countryside. Private farmland and expansive valleys characterise the region, where campers can explore on cycling paths, dog-friendly hikes, or coastal cliffside walks. Head back for the evening to a family-friendly campsite with modern amenities, or escape off the beaten path with just a backpack at a dispersed tent pitch.

Woolacombe Beach

On the shores of Bristol Channel, over three kilometres of gently sloping sandy beach attracts sunbathers, kayakers, and surfers alike at Woolacombe Beach. Breathe in the fresh sea air and bask in expansive sea views while enjoying a variety of water sports. On-site caravan parking spaces are also plentiful, and convenient amenities make for a terrific beach day. Woolacombe Bay offers everything from basic tent pitches to holiday parks with electric hookups, modern showers, and TV aerial points.

Exmoor National Park

Exmoor National Park covers a diverse landscape made up of valley farmland, vast moors, and a rocky coastline. Exmoor invites hikers to traverse its many footpaths in search of nature’s bounty. The national park is also home to both historic hamlets and off-the-grid camping experiences along the banks of Badgworthy Water. Caravan campsites dot the area as well, with both family-friendly and adult-only options. Then navigate the Tarka Trail, named for novelist Henry Williamson’s “Tarka the Otter.” Or stargaze year-round in this International Dark Sky Reserve.

Dartmoor National Park

With nearly 1,000 square kilometres of open moorland, ancient woodlands, and rocky outcrops, Dartmoor National Park is open for wild camping in designated locations. Campers need to bring everything they need in a backpack, leaving no trace and trying not to disturb the local wildlife. This is especially true during the ground-nesting bird season from March to July. While overnight stays in motorhomes are not allowed on open moorland, they are welcome at family-run farm campsites and other private land nearby. After setting up camp, try exciting bouldering opportunities on granite tors, whitewater canoeing down River Dart, or cycling on dismantled railway lines, like the 11-kilometre Wray Valley Trail that passes through Lustleigh and the National Trust Parke Estate.

When to go

Summer months from June to September offer warm daytime temperatures in the low 20s, making surfing and sunbathing at Woolacombe Beach a popular treat. The warmer water is more inviting for swimming and beach sports as well. More adventurous campers may enjoy canoeing down the rapids of River Dart from late fall to early spring, but be prepared for colder temperatures this time of year.
