Beautiful trails to hike. Site are well maintained, very easy to access. I can see how this is a great family place to camp. Lots to do. I however enjoyed a very quiet solo stay during the mid-week.

Weekend Trip to Rosario Camp & RV

We had a great time at Nichelles Hipcamp. The location can’t be beat, great views, amazing host! And my personal favorite thing was NO MOSQUITOS. I am a mosquito magnet so camping is completely ruined for me if I’m being eaten alive and itching the entire time. We had no issues at this location and will definitely go back. As the site continues to be developed it will get better and better. I recommend to bring a shovel for some of the upper sites to level out spots as needed and note that some of the sites are small if you plan to have multiple tents. All in all great camping experience go check it out. Also Rosario beach across the street was 10/10

Weekend Trip to Evergrin Shire

First time using Hipcamp and it turned out to be a memorable trip. Property was beautiful. Large meadow bordered with a mowed path along the treeline. One group of campers other than me and it was as if they weren’t even there. Hosts were great, very friendly and inviting, along with informational. Really just good people that seem to think “isn’t this beautiful, isn’t this peaceful, come enjoy it with us” Got some homemade jam and some memorable moments on this trip and I’d definitely love to stay again. You may not want to talk as much as I did and prefer the peace, they will certainly give you that, but if you’re like me and need a good conversation, Richard sat with me for hours one day as we just enjoyed the beautiful day and talked about life, I needed it, that wonderful conversation alone will have me looking back on this trip with a smile for a very long time and make me happy to plan another one.

Weekend Trip to Evergrin Shire

We highly recommend this peaceful gem. Rich and Kathleen are delightful hosts and their place is truly stunning. Rich generously shared his local knowledge of nearby places to explore. They were very tolerant and supportive of our reactive dog during the periodic rounds they make with their own well-behaved labs. Our site felt very secluded and had a view of the idyllic meadow and surrounding forest and hills. Our stay really couldn’t have been better.

Weekend Trip to Guemes North Homestead

We used to live off grid so it was great to take my fifteen year old son and three of his friends to this homestead so they could experience a little of the sustainable living craft. Ian was a super great communicator and very attentive and flexible to our needs.

3 nights at Rusty Ranch Tree Farm and Forest

Our 3rd time at The Rusty Ranch Hipcamp. Always love it! The property is beautiful, well maintains, spacious and private campsites, badminton/volleyball areas, lawn games available to use, very clean composting outhouses and just the loveliest host. We always have a good time here, and will be back!!

What a great spot! The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we got setup. Quiet at night and close to a couple gas stations, in case you forgot any last minute snacks.

2 nights at Guemes North Homestead

This place feels like the good vibe vortex I didn't know I needed. So thankful for the cozy spot! The little cabin is really comfy. I'm in love with the little outdoor rocket stove and totally need to get one now. Ian was so kind and thoughtful. Soaking in the sauna and swimming in the pond was such an amazing reset! The interns that I met are some of sweetest folks in the world! Such a great experience! I'll definitely be back!

This is an absolutely beautiful property with great nature trails and abundant bird life. Margaret, who met me on my way in, was very friendly and had great recommendations for local activities. I look forward to staying here again.

1 night at Happy Frog Springs/Hobson Meadows

We loved staying in the happy frog yurt! Beth was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to have a good time. The whole property is so picturesque, we walked along the grasses and listened to the birds. Back at the pond, you can watch (and listen to) the bullfrogs and ducks. It was a magical time! We will be back.

Great RV park! Convenient location to Cascades and also gas/food in Marblemount. Bathrooms and laundry room were clean. Friendly hosts and Molly the Manager (the dog!) is the cutest!

Weekend Trip to Rusty Ranch Tree Farm and Forest

Our stay here was incredible. We initially reserved Alder Meadows but ended up in the even larger Hawthorne Loop site instead. The entire property was clean, well taken care of, and extremely peaceful. We could tell the owners genuinely care about the property and their guests. Margaret was friendly, respectful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, even saving my "bacon" when I realized I left the butter and syrup at home. We liked being able to wander through the meadows, play volleyball with the kids, and go hiking in the forest. We are used to small campsites at state parks, so arriving at this sprawling property, being treated like family, and having both space and privacy made this an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Rusty ranch was a great place to camp for 2 nights! It was a rainy weekend but worked out great since the campsite came with a canopy. It’s a beautiful area, lots of nature and cool trails. The outhouse was very clean as well and they gave us firewood for the first night. We will definitely be back!!

Can't get much closer to the Skagit than GVR! Sites B&C are basically conjoined, but. B was vacant, so I felt like I had a double site all to myself! GVR was a phenomenal launch poing for my 20 mile paddle downstream. And would have been a perfect landing spot for an upper paddle (I dental emergency didn't force me to leave early). I will definitely be back again!

Kragnes Family Farm Mt Baker Camp

Our 28 acres are located in between maple falls and glacier, Wa, directly on Mt Baker Hwy on the way to Beautiful Mt Baker. Ben and I run a chemical free farm, on which we raise 7 and 1/2 acres of veggie and flower. 15 acres of pastureland on which we raise pasture raised chicken, as well as biannual lamb and beef. The remainder of our land is breathtaking pacific northwest forest that is boarded by the Bay to Baker trail. Our campsites range between walk in wooded sites, and car camping sites that are open field sites next to the tree line. We provide wagons in our cart corral area to make it more convenient for the very short walk in. ( no more then a 200 foot walk in) We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy for lounging and picnics. The Bay to Baker trail borders our property, so it is just steps away and includes a 45 min round walk to a quaint little waterfall (maple falls). As well as a nature loop trail. You can also walk the other direction on the trail over a boardwalk and up to the Nooksack river. This direction walks along the back of the farm and allows you to see the veggie fields from a distance. There is a conservation area, just a quarter mile drive down the road. With access to the Nooksack river, that includes several nice swimming spots and a couple nice walking trials. Silver Lake is just 3.8 miles away. It has a great recreation area, fun for the whole family. Just a heads up , you will probably lose service on your drive up here. But you will get service back when you are here. We suggest putting the map in your phone before you leave. Google maps will take you just past the farm, and apple maps will stop you too soon. So you are looking for the large kragnes family farms sign in the driveway. pull in and follo the camping signs to the back.

The campsite is situated in the old orchard on the historical Ducken Farm. It has distant ocean views, is surrounded by hay fields, and you can see the local cows in the adjoining pasture. If, coming from Hwy 20, take the second driveway. The sites are past the house. There is running water in the little milkhouse by the barn. It is 1/2 mile from the famous Deception Pass State Park and 1 mile from the Deception Pass Bridge and it's Spectacular Views. There are many hiking trails, Ebey Bluffs, kayaking, ferry's to other islands, climb Goose Rock, Bowman Bay, Rosario Beach.

End of the road. Start of an epic camping weekend. River to the side, Cascade foothill surround. Each site has river access except for lookers left which is not accessible due to the steep grade. All the siteshave nice sand for kids to play in. Close to the north cascades. Minutes from live music, bars and quality mexican restaurant. Rails to trail for bikes and walking. Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. Would rather there be no music and if there is then super low and off by 7. Sauna available after 3pm

Placards on the nature trail are part of our self-guided tour and provide information about forestry and the plants and animals that call this their home. Wander through the old growth groves, walk the 50' boardwalk and see the magical Fern Ridge. There are abundant wildflowers and seasonal berries to pick, as well as a variety of fall apples and pears in the old orchard available for self harvest. You can even purchase a tree to take home and plant. We also offer a roadside farm stand with fresh seasonal fruits and veggies as well as farm fresh eggs.
