Learn more about our land:
In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland.
Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.
Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.

The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here.
With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and have purchased a 20ft stargazing tent that is in the works of being listed this season!
So thank you for your support in this venture and in any form, I’m excited to be apart of your adventure and hope to see you in our neck of the woods soon!

A beautiful sprawling meadow among a beautiful wooded grove was the perfect setting for a little evening camp. Whitney is an incredibly kind and helpful host!
It was such a breathtaking view overlooking the coastal hills to the west, and the stroll into the oak grove allowed me to see the Willamette wine country to the northeast. I loved car camping here and feeling so well rested.
It's boon-docking on private land. Good choice between sunny meadow and shady trees. Small but fairly level sites. Sorely needs an entrance sign for the access road, as well as mileage from key landmarks and a map.
We loved bringing our 24 ft trailer up to Celestine Fields for the weekend. Their friendly doggo played with our pup and we had a great view from our spot. We also saw plenty of wildlife including a dozen deer bound across the field. The smell of the sweet grass was delightful!
Really nice place to relax. Right in the middle of wine tasting country and the Whiskey trail, if you love distillerys. Couple secluded campsites. Beautiful views from little cabin, which was perfect for rainy days. Provided small amenities like stove with propane, silverware, etc. Whitney was very helpful, gave some great ideas for restaurants in the area. Definitely a 4wheel drive area in the winter. Would definitely go back.
Celestine fields was a great get away for my partner and I even on a cold rainy weekend. We were able to relax while still staying connected. This really gave us novice campers the ability to camp in the elements without have to worry. I'm sure this property is even more incredible in the Summer! I could definitely see myself coming back!
Easy to find with the directions provided, quiet, peaceful. Space heater great for chilly nights. Simple amenities, all you need for an overnight stay when you’d prefer to sleep in a bed over your car or tent!
What an amazing spot! We camped at the edge of the oak grove and had a beautiful view across the valley. We were the only people there that night and we were able to make a small fire and just sit outdoors and enjoy the peace and quiet. You could feel the vibes of all the great times that must have been had there in the past!
Ah what a dreamy weekend. Surprised my husband with a weekend birthday trip and everything was perfect. Whitney was oh so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend renting this tent and would love to come back some time in the future.
We loved Celestine fields! Super peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery in the middle of wine country. Lots of wineries and farms around. Whitney was super responsive and accommodating.
My son and I had a great stay at the Lotus tent at Celestine. He was over the moon excited about it. Very peaceful, and so nice to just roll up in the evening and be have everything anll set up. Then, no need to break camp on our way out. Very clean, comfortable place to stay; better than a hotel. Slept like rocks.
Celestine Fields was such a lovely, magical experience. We really didn’t even want to leave the property at all. Whitney was very helpful and the glass house was such a nostalgic, well stocked surprise of a Hipcamp amenity. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
5 stars, 10 out of 10, 100% would recommend. The glasshouse and communal fire pit are all kinds of awesome, and we found the highest elevation tent site (on the far right a little ways into the trees) had enough separation and foliage for some introverted privacy and welcome treeshade from the summer sun.
It would be hard to find, except the instructions were clear and detailed enough we had no problem. The roads don't really require AWD/4WD, but generous ground clearance is definitely a necessity to avoid bashing up your vehicle's underbelly on the many steep bumps. The bumps are actually kinda fun though -- a memorable part of the experience. Also memorable (in a charming way) is the rustic Pota-Pottie, which while old, is still well-kept.
There are several restaurant options in nearby Carlton, lots of vineyards in the area, and the Evergreen Air and Space Museum is just 20 minutes away. 👍
Our camp site was very rustic and quiet.
We did have a bit of trouble finding the sign to Celestine Fields but after turning around we were able to find it. The sign was very small but the instructions that was given was very thorough. (we just had trouble following the instructions) LOL
We met Whitney and she was very kind and wanted to make sure we were taken care of and asked if we had any questions. It was nice to have that personal touch.
We loved the glass house that was at the bottom, it was very cute and welcoming. We wanted to camp down there but was a little hesitate on taking our RV down there.
But all in all, we had a great visit and would certainly come and visit again.
Thank you, Whitney, for giving us a positive experience with our first Hip camp.
We had a wonderful at Celestine Fields. Whitney was warm, enthusiastic and accommodating. We found the perfect little spot, tucked away in the trees to park our camper. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Walking around the property was enjoyable, and we appreciated the lovely view of the valley below. The porta potty was very clean, and conveniently located. We would recommend this Hipcamp spot to friends and strangers! We hope to visit, again, in the future.
My partner and I had a peaceful night. Beautiful views. Whitney had a family member come out within minutes when we needed a jump for our truck. Great experience camping there.
We stopped here for a night on our way home. I can’t say enough about how adorable the tent is! Bed was comfy and the host was very helpful in providing additional bedding for our kids. There are so many amenities inside, it’s very well thought out and was very magical.
What holds this place back is the bathroom situation.
We use hipcamp a lot, we’ve seen some funky bathroom set ups. But this porta potty took the cake. It smelled foul, there were so many flies in it and landing on you while you used it. Very unsettling. All I could think about was how disappointed I’d be if I booked this for a romantic getaway and then found out how awful the bathroom was.
Overall very cute and the host was very sweet. But I don’t see myself booking again due to the bathroom.
This was a great home base for a weekend of summer fun with a small group of friends. Spacing of dispersed sites allows for groups to keep to themselves while the glass house and community fire pit allow dedicated space for socializing. Would do again and have already shared with more friends. Thanks for the thoughtful accommodations!
