Learn more about this land: Enjoy the private tranquility of the Cascade Mountains in this beautiful rural Full hookup RV site woodlands setting amidst trees and trails. Great for travelers who need a private place to park their fully self-contained home-on-wheels while traveling to Crater Lake National Park and the scenic Rogue-Umpqua area of the Cascades. Only 24 miles from the NP south entrance (on the Prospect desirable side of the NP) and most likely the closest private RV spot. 1/2 mile outside of the little town of Prospect, 1 mile to the Rogue River (fishing and rafting), 1 mile to 3 waterfalls, 8 miles to Lost Creek Lake (boating and recreation), plus an abundance of hiking trails in nearby local area. After viewing the amazing star-filled night skies, fall into a deep relaxed sleep and wake up to birds singing, enjoy your coffee and a nature walk. This serene and quiet RV spot consists of an open space nestled in beautiful mixed woodlands of mature doug fir, cedar, pine and madrone on our 60 acre property (You won’t see our house or shop since these RV spot is on the other side of the property). RV space has 50 amp power, well water and RV sewer. Your own toilet is a must. Be prepared to “Pac-in, pack-out.”  This is a protected wilderness area. There’s a mix of sun and shade. At approximately 2600 ft elevation, a fresh gentle breeze significantly cools the late afternoon and evening summer temperatures. Most cell service carriers do get reception at this location, however, there is no WIFI. This can be a pull-through-and-around area. A long RV/trailer may need to make a y turn.  Short distance nature trails in the adjacent woodlands can be enjoyed in the immediate area. You will be alone in this no-frills spot. Just you and nature and your RV home.

Pine Camp #1 is a beautiful spot nestled in a grove of pine trees. Gravel RV spot. Grassy meadow and permanent lean to shelter for gatherings. Please make note it is a 50 amp only plug You may need an adapter. And you need a 50’ hose to reach water. Open meadows for star gazing. If it’s a dual family camp out add pine camp 2 to your reservation.

We stayed at Pine camp 1 and 2 and they are both great! 6 of us enjoyed the area and took the short drive to Crater Lake. We highly recommend staying at this hip camp. Joy is responsive and super friendly!

****EXCEPTIONAL HOST**** Do not hesitate to book this spot if you’re in the area. Joy and her husband were so chill and accommodating and really made us feel welcomed and at home. We stayed there for 3 weeks and still wasn’t ready to leave. We’ve been to many different campsites and met so many different kinds of people and hosts, yet none have compared to this one. -Gravel road all the way to the campsite. -Gated entry with a code. -Only one other RV site -Close to Crater Lake -3 killer hiking spots with beautiful waterfalls a mile away. -Even some hiking spots that aren’t trails nearby with awesome views -The national forests nearby will keep you busy for weeks. -The market down the street has everything you need. -The trophy room/ cafe has great food (went there 3 times just for the chicken fried steak) -My fiancé is the pickiest person on the planet and still talking about how much he loved Joy and her property. Will definitely be back.

My overnight on Joy’s property was perfect! She was super accommodating and immediately responsive when I had a request, super helpful, and that’s just the hosting! Her land is gorgeous, private, safe, and couldn’t really be more than any camper would want. My dogs and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

It was a great experience. The hosts were amazing, they responded quick and were accommodating to us. The campsite itself was amazing as well. Not only was it a visually nice campsite with plenty of solitude and room to breathe, but the night sky way really pretty. Directions getting there were pretty straight forward and the site itself felt really safe. 10/10 would stay again.

Great location 30 minutes from Crater Lake. Wide open meadow with lots of trees. Beautifully maintained. Little town of Prospect is minutes away where you’ll find home style cooking at the Prospect restaurant and tip one with the locals at the Trophy Bar. Lots of fun!

Our stay at Dave’s camp was nothing short of spectacular! The communication was top-notch, with clear, easy-to-follow directions that made our arrival seamless. The gated entry gave us a great sense of security, allowing us to fully unwind. The grounds were stunningly beautiful, offering a serene and secluded atmosphere—it truly felt like we were the only ones there, even with another group at the second camp. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the night sky; the stars were absolutely dazzling, providing an unforgettable stargazing experience. Everything was so well thought out, making this a perfect retreat. We can’t recommend Dave’s camp enough for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway under the stars!

Our stay at Pine Camp #2 couldn’t have been better! The only thing we heard were birds in the morning and an occasional woodpecker. Hookups were easy to use and worked perfectly! The only negative is we had to leave! I strongly recommend Pine Camp to those looking for peace and quiet in the Crater Lake area. We would absolutely return!

Ponderosa pine, Cedar and Doug Fir country. This 21 acre ranch was clean, quiet, had power and water and fun night lights. Very pet friendly.

What a peaceful stay near Crater Lake NP! It was super nice and quiet and had a very woodsy, private feel. They really have a great set up for campers to enjoy. Also Excellent communication. Hope to visit again!

Pine camp #1 and #2 are not too far from each other but privacy was not bad. The string lights are a nice cozy touch but was on the whole night so make sure you have window covers or blackout curtains. However, what confused me was the tent 10 ft behind us. There are people living in there and so we had people walking about behind us. A decent site, especially being close to Crater Lake

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pine Camp 2! Lots of space and a sweet spot with string lights. So nice to have a plug-in and water and a flat place to park our van. A dome of stars and great neighbors who we befriended quickly. Beautiful little trails to walk with your dogs. It is conveniently located near Crater Lake—about 45 minutes, but an easy route and we were able to do laundry in town, too. Joy was communicative and we would definitely return.

We loved Dave's Camp! It was a great base for exploring Crater Lake NP. It was so nice to have room to spread out and our dogs loved exploring the trails and creeks. The area was very quiet and well maintained. Had everything we wanted, including cell phone service! Would stay here again!

This little spot was perfect! We were able to book last minute and the host was very accommodating and kind! The property was gated in, well maintained, and had a very cozy safe feel to it! The kids loved exploring the little trails that led to the stream! Definitely would recommend to anybody passing through!

Dave's camp was perfect. We've never had such a private spot. There were a couple other campers on the property during our stay but their site was a couple hundred yards away, and we only ever saw them a couple times as they drove by. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was, and Joy was an exceptional host. She even stopped by to introduce herself and give us some veggies from her garden. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Our dogs loved it too!

The campground was beautiful. It’s big enough for two big family and kids. I would definitely visit again. Only thing that was the issue are the bugs and mosquitos between sunset and mid night. But that would not stop us from visiting again.

This is a fantastic campground with very few camping sites in a large area. You don’t see your neighbors. Our site has both sun and shade. Peaceful and quiet. Some walking trails. In spite of seclusion it’s walking distance from a village with a gas station, convenience store and road.

Such a beautiful and peaceful space. Great setup and so close to amazing hiking trails and Crater Lake. Very easy to access and park our 43ft rig. Joy was very friendly and helpful. Wish we would have booked for more days!!!

Lovely little private spot with full hook up for an RV and a picnic table. Access to a small creak near the site with a small sitting area and swing chair. Joy was friendly and helpful. Great place to stop when visiting Crater Lake.
