*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Tent/Trailer

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 40 ft
The more private of our two sites. Electric via extension cord, two fire-pits, composting toilet (#2 only), soft-top gazebo, hammock, and many level spaces to park or pitch a tent. The road to this site is flat and accessible by car/camper/small trailer; there is a newly graveled turn-around, but trailers larger than 17ft may have difficulty using it. Potable water and outdoor shower are located by the Dome, which hipcampers have to walk or drive to. There is one spigot by the carport and one spigot at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Arrival Instructions: Overholser road turns to gravel at the 'End County Maintenance' sign, at which point you will drive past a post with the property address on it (30090). Pass the old barn on your left and keep going down the gravel road (slowly), in 1,000ft you will come upon a circle drive to your left- this is where the main green Dome-Home, outdoor shower, composting toilet and potable water are located. Keep going past the circle drive and ‘Camp Ahead’ sign. As the road begins to widen, veer left and you will come upon a sign (to your left) that says ‘Camp’, as well as a No Trespassing/Private Property sign, take the left at this sign and continue until you reach the campsite. *If coming from Territorial Hwy- google maps may try to direct you down Tucker Rdg, ignore the turn and keep driving down CG/Lorane Rd until you come to Overholser.*

Bell tent · Sleeps 6 · 1 bedroom · 1 toilet
Bell tent, large fire pit, composting toilet (for #2 only), potable water via hose, electric via extension cord, hammock, and a short distance from our outdoor shower. Accessible with 4WD during the rainy season and 2WD during the dry season- not accessible with a camper/trailer. From this site one can see the monolithic Dome-Home, which makes it less private. Keep going past the circle drive and ‘Camp Ahead’ sign and about 100ft further (on your left) there will be a sign posted 'Platform', as well as a No Tresspassing/Private Property sign- turn left after this sign and drive down the hill, slowly (watch for bump), to reach the campsite. *The road to the Platform site is steep, and on rainy days it is very slick. The site is best accessed by 4WD- if you do not have 4WD- check out the road before pulling down and use your discretion. If camping with a vehicle that cannot take the steep road to the site, one can park on our gravel driveway or at the top of the hill and walk down via steps or road.* *If coming from Territorial Hwy- google maps may try to direct you down Tucker Rdg, ignore the turn and keep driving down CG/Lorane Rd until you come to Overholser.*
