Our camper lot sits along the Juniata River, farmland, and the Appalachian Mountains. It is a small half acre lot in the country with power, water, and septic dump. It is a flat lot with grass and a large gravel area for an RV that overlooks the river. There is firewood on site for camp fires. Burnt Timbers Winery is one mile down the road along the river. This is a beautiful place to kick back and enjoy the beautiful scenery of central PA.37 miles to Beaver Stadium / Penn State University PSU Football Sports Fans Easement for river access - Juniata Fishing - Juniata River Wine lovers - 1 mile to Burnt Timbers Winery Hiking / Mountain Biking - Several state parks within 15-10 minutes Train enthusiasts - Mainline from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia

Lovely camping spot

Riverside RV Camper Site
A lovely single camping spot situated between the Juniata River and a farm field on a quiet rural road. An active railroad is just beyond the farm field which we enjoyed more than expected. Ben's directions were excellent and we had no issue locating the site. Site is level and easy to navigate. This area has a lot to offer. We visited Jacks Mountain to take in the views of the valleys and migrating hawks. Walked along the river at Victory Park in Lewistown, then headed over to take in the beauty of the Stone Arch Bridge. Ben is a wonderful host and is very responsive to messages. We will definitely will be returning and staying at this location.

Pleasant spot between Juniata River and farm fields, with active railroad behind. Lots of wildlife. Had a bald eagle fly over before we were even parked. Gravel space is large and level with easy hook ups. Enjoyed birding from road and watching the trains. Easy drive to Penn State University Park.

I'm not sure why my review didn't post...our pics did, so let me try again. Even tho we ended up with a rainy couple of days, we really enjoyed our stay. As noted on Ben's description, it's one site that sits along the Juniata, easy hook up. There's a quiet lane along the river that you can walk along to enjoy the fields and water. You'll notice the sounds of the neighbor's chickens and a regular freight train, but we thought that added to the charm. Also, pay attention to Ben's directions if coming in from the south. Google will want you to turn sooner, but WAIT for Granville Rd or it's near impossible with a trailer to turn into the driveway. Once you turn on Granville Rd, you're good to go with the printed directions. Mcveytown has a nice little restaurant with great ice cream and Lewistown has a brewery that had good food, good beer and live music. We even hit a farmer's market in Boalsburg. It was a great couple days.

Ben's camp was great--one site with a level, gravel area, full hook up with view of the Juniata River. There was plenty of room to turn around but we found pulling right up to the hook ups worked best. There were neighbors on each side but far enough away to still be peaceful and private. River Road runs along the Juniata and is a nice walk. Try Harshbarger's Sub n Malt in Mcveytown for a casual meal and homemade ice cream or Shy Bear Brewery in Lewistown for craft beer and live music. Boalsburg has a Farmer's Market on Tuesdays, May to Nov. (40-45 min drive) Yes, there are chickens, roosters and a guinea hen, but we loved them. And yes, you'll hear the freight trains running. That's America, folks. Just a note, if you're coming from the south on 103, Google directions will instruct you to turn on Anderson Rd. Follow Ben's directions and wait for Granville Rd. You'll end up in the same spot, but the angle of his driveway will make the turn near impossible with a trailer unless you're coming in from Granville.

It's a great "stopver" spot. I needed to be in town and it worked to get away while being close and able to attend to details I needed. Although between 2 residential properties, it's very pretty , quiet and the sunrise and sunsets are fabulous. There will be the sound of trains frequently (you can see them in the distance) , but as I grew up in this area, I expected that. River access is across the road. I personally wouldn't choose it for lengthy camping as I prefer wooded areas, but it was perfect as a home base while in the area.

VERY remote and it’s a SINGLE camper site in the backyard of the host. No signage so i had to ask around for it after getting lost - not easy to maneuver with a trailer camper…
