Boon-Docking / No Hookups Site 3

This place is beautiful and LaShann and Jason are wonderful hosts, checking in daily to see if we needed anything. We were there in late April so the lake level was not fully up in the cove, but still a lovely view from the campsite, and accessible. We launched at nearby Swanns Marina. A quiet retreat with nice bathhouse, picnic shelter, and even a glider to sit in the shade and enjoy the view!

A great spot for camping right by the water of Douglas Lake! Bathrooms were clean and had a shower and being able to rent tubes and kayaks at the site was a huge plus! The views were amazing!

It was just so PEACEFUL. Our life has been extremely chaotic the last few months, and this weekend was literally exactly what we needed to get recentered. Pitched our tent right on the water, slept great, and launched our kayaks right off the lake-side by our tent first thing this morning. Thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful getaway! We will be back and soon! (I will add that we were honored to be guests the first weekend the new bath-house and shower were installed! It is beautiful!)

The property is almost as great as the hosts. It felt secluded and like you had your own lake front getaway. Everything was clean and there was enough to do to occupy a group of middle school boys for hours. I would 100% go back for another party.

Each site has a good amount of space, and parking is an easy and enjoyable walk across the grounds. Finding day sites is pretty hard, so this option is fantastic! We will absolutely be spending another day here and hope to tent camp one day, too!

We had a wonderful time here! The lake is beautiful and you have great views from your site! They rent Kayaks and stand up paddle boards! The owners are friendly and helpful! We couldn’t ask for a better weekend!

Tent Site 2

Wow! Such a hidden gem! My sons and I traveled around the U.S and visit 14 different campsites from Chicago to D.C. and this was our favorite. Rented a kayak and paddleboard parked them on our lake front campsite and that night paddled out to the middle of the resouvour to float in tranquil silence and admire the stars. What a unique experience. Owners are super nice and inviting and even came around with Popsicles a sunset for us. Can't say enough great things about this place!

Your own waterfront spot!

Day Time Site 1 - 4pm-9pm

Our first time using day site. It was nice to have our own water front space! Would totally do it again and recommend it to anyone who just wants some space to lay in the sun and enjoy the lack without fighting for space or parking.

I absolutely love to camp here at basically any site they have to offer! Site 9 was shaded, peaceful, and right on the water! Sleeping was so peaceful! The owners and family are truly amazing, hard working, and kind people! They are dedicated and very accommodating!

It could have been better,when I say that what I mean but that is the bathroom was a good ways from our tent site, there was no electricity in there, and it was hot in there. There was an RV with a generator that ran all night long to the point of keeping us awake, then both mornings around 4-5 am there was an ATV running back forth making alot of noise. I feel like for the price we paid it could have been a lot better. The best thing about it was it was right on the water and it was beautiful where the water was. I realize it's a work in progress but the price should have accounted for what we got. Probably first and last trip there. Hopefully in the future it'll be better as work is done.

Tent Site 1

The hosts were very nice and met us when we arrived and then came to check on us before turning in for the nigh. All the tent sites that we could see were right on the water, this site had a decent amount of shade and the perfect shallow area for kids to be able to play in. There's a bathroom that does have an actual toilet (not just a portapotty)and even though it's still not completed and doesn't have the shower yet it was clean and I'm sure will be nice when it's done!

Fun Place for a Teen Party

We rented the pavilion for my daughter’s 15th birthday party. Everything was great! Space was clean and all set up ready to go. We rented a couple kayaks and the kids spent the day jumping off the dock, swimming and fishing. Everyone had a lot of fun and the hosts were great to work with!
