The location was perfect. The lot is big with plenty of room for plenty of the ground was so level that we didn’t need blocks to level out. They have a great movie night outside on Saturdays.

Had a great time camping at Mike’s. Private tent sites with the shade we needed for the hot weather. Walking distance to a winery and the cute little town of Plain. Bonus was an outdoor movie on Saturday night !!

Our stay at Plain Valley Open Field was everything we hoped for and more! We brought our van and trailer loaded with ADV bikes, ready to hit the incredible trails around Plain, WA—and this spot was the ideal home base.
The location couldn’t be better: within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurant, brewery, and even a winery. We loved being able to stroll to live music and grab a bite or a drink after a day of riding.
The field itself was spacious and scenic, with stunning sunsets that made evenings truly special. A unique highlight was the “drive-in” movie night: the hosts set up a huge screen and played Fields of Dreams, and we could listen in right through our van radio—so much fun!
Having access to a bathroom and place to drop off garbage was a definite bonus for our group. And Mike, our host, was outstanding—always quick to communicate, super friendly, and made us feel right at home with his casual, welcoming vibe.
Highly recommend Plain Valley Open Field for anyone looking for adventure, convenience, and a little bit of magic in the mountains!

My son and I got a last-minute opportunity to go camping together. Plain Valley had availability, and the description sounded great. It exceeded our expectations. Mike was an outstanding host. He came out to greet us as we started to set up camp. There was plenty of room for our camper and other stuff. I read about the nearby amenities, and we took full advantage of them. It felt more like a resort than a campsite. Mike even set up a drive-in movie experience and let us choose the film. Everyone there treated us like friends and family. I can't say enough good things.

Great spot, huge field so you felt like you had the place to yourself, but right next to a brewery, restaurant, and store if you want to enjoy amenities. Would stay again!

Beautiful open field to park your rig with a gorgeous tree covered mountain backdrop. There is a nice grocery, hardware, and coffee shop within walking distance. Our host Mike was lovely along with Diane who helps out on the farm. Our stay was relaxing and extra memorable simply from spending time with Mike and Diane.

Super cool spot close to Olalla Canyon Ridge where the wildflowers are blooming like crazy. Mike was very generous & I loved hanging out at the microbrewery! Nice and easy to find tent spots.

I arrived to the site very late at night, so it was a bit challenging to find where I was supposed to park versus where my tent should go, but I found a campsite that was tucked in the trees and slept well. I woke early and carried a camp chair and my sleeping bag out to the open field and watched the sun rise over the mountain beyond Mike's property before wandering down the street to the cafe in town for breakfast. I could imagine enjoying time on the property with the onsite brewery and the weekly movie night or exploring the nearby winery, if I'd had more time. The surrounding area is beautiful, and Leavenworth is nearby.

Firstly, the host, Mike is an exceptional person. Kind, attentive, thoughtful, like someone you’d feel honored to have as a friend. Secondly, while I came in late at night, and couldn’t appreciate the surroundings, the morning proved to be a heavenly surprise. Don’t hesitate to book a stay, especially for women traveling alone. You can trust this space.

This was a really cute location to stay at! Mike was very friendly and the tent sites were pretty nice and quiet. We even got to watch an outdoor movie which was so nice! Overall we had a lovely stay and the fall colors were lovely!

Mike's plot was excellent. Really nice ground for finding tent spots that were comfy and private. Mike was an amazing host, and he owns a little brewery next to the plot with amazing beer!

We loved this place!!
We were a large group staying in the area for a larches hike and Oktoberfest weekend and its proximity to the National Forest and Leavenworth was perfect for us.
The campgrounds are well maintained and having access to running water was nice.
We also loved the host hospitality, the dogs are super cute and friendly, and we got free stickers. The beer and cider are yummy too!!. We will be back next year for sure!

My husband and daughter absolutely loved staying here. The host was very welcoming and the open field was a perfect way to watch the sunset and tell "scary stories" with our 4-year-old. It is within easy proximity to Leavenworth as well.

Plain is an amazing little town and staying on Mikes property was just as great. Would highly recommend anyone visiting Leavenworth and needs to camp to stay here! Would 100% visit again!

Mike has created a true gem for campers in the cascades! The campsites were quiet, comfortable and safe. What made our stay at Mikes stand out, though, was everything else; the friendly hosts, movie night (with popcorn!), concert, brewery (by donation!), and games made for a truly unique and fun weekend we won’t forget! We’ll be back!

Lots of space and great views of the surrounding mountains. We loved star gazing and hanging out on the land. Sad we missed the drive in movie over the weekend, but the setup looked awesome! Thanks for your hospitality and the conversation, Mike!

We came to the area to hike the Enchantments Traverse and explore Leavenworth. This campground was a great find! Having a bathroom with running water is a nice amenity and the brewery looked like a fun spot to hang out and get food had we arrived earlier. We missed the outdoor movie and the live music but next time we’ll plan to get back earlier so we can enjoy all this Hipcamp has too offer!
