Unplug and get back to nature on 26 acres with pond on property and lake 2 mins away. Located 15 minutes from I-70 and 2 minutes from Ottawa State Lake (also called Bennington State Lake) which is great for fishing, we have 3 Rv spots with 50 amp hook ups. Are you tired of Rv parking spots and being crammed all together like sardines? Here there is more space and plenty of solitude. We are currently offering introductory rates while we build out the other amenities. Each spot has water hook up and a 50 amp box with all adaptor types. The ground is made of new slightly uneven gravel. Enjoy 26 acres of space and a less busy (blacktop tarr) road. When approaching do not use the gps if it sends you on a dirt road, but keep driving until you see a blacktop road and let it recalculate - from I-70 take 81 north and 106 east to Justice Road. We eovide codes for the lockboxes that contain keys to the electric. Make sure to communicate with your host!

Hughes Holler

The Hughes Holler camp site is located in the mix grassed prairie of central Kansas. The site was once a homestead of some of the early pioneers of the area. While none of the remnants of the former farmstead remain. The the tranquility of sitting at a campfire on the banks of the pond can let ones mind wonder about what life would have been like living there in days gone by. The site includes a spring fed pond with abundant fishing, predominately white bass. Guests are allowed to keep any fish they wish to eat on site. But please release any others back into the pond. There is a wooded area which provides nice shade for an area to relax from the Kansas summer sun and wind. Campers can also enjoy a camp fire either pond side of underneath the trees. Sleeping accommodations are in a deluxe water proof tent. There are 2 queen air mattress which will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is also a composting toilet on site. Glamping Hosts provide some hot drink mixes, a coffee perculator, pot for boiling water, or making soup, a cooking grate for the fire, some hygiene products. We are working on a solar shower! We are located 2 miles from the Kanopolis Lake wildlife and recreation area. Which includes numerous hiking trails at Horse Thief canyon. As well as 7 miles from historic Marquette with its unique downtown shops and activities: distillery, motorcycle museum, soda fountain shop/homemade ice cream, disc golf course, grocery store, bar and grill and liquor store. Also, located just 15 miles from Little Swedon, Lindsborg, KS. Great shopping and museums, art galleries for you enjoyment!

This charming property is home to Tom and Heddy Mahoney and is conveniently located just a few minutes south of I-70. For those seeking a tranquil escape, the camping area is nestled within a secluded grove of cedar and cottonwood trees, offering a serene retreat. The campground is equipped with a firepit, picnic tables, and a combination shower house and toilet facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. (Note: Shower service's at camp ground are closed seasonally during winter and months where freezing temperature are possible. Daniel's 100-yr-old farm

I am proud to be a fourth-generation caretaker of this farm and surrounding acreage. My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how. For the last 30 years, that has meant a divergence from traditional farming practices to focus on regenerative farming-- farming that focuses on enriching the health of the soil and the animals instead of depleting it.On our farm, we raise beef, lamb, pigs and chickens and they all live out on pasture. In our farm store we sell meat, eggs, and raw, all-grass dairy products like milk, butter, cheese, kefir, and yogurt. Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store. We call it JakoPure food.Not only do we share our life-giving, gut-restoring food with others, but we want to share the experience of our farm, too. That's why we've started hosting guests on hipcamp so that you can truly experience what's special about our farm. Each location provides a unique perspective on our farm, and you'll engage a different part of our story at each place. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance. You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep. If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November). Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife. (Fair warning: if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.) We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture. There are killer sunrises and sunsets here. If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.Please be respectful of farm operations, although we're always open to answering questions if you see us around. We are 24 minutes from Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas. At Hastago Farm we have sheep, goats, steers, chickens, ducks, and they live out on the pasture. We have fresh farm eggs daily. Goat milk is available seasonably. It is peaceful, calm, and quiet here at Hastago. You don't want to miss the sunrises and sunsets. You might even see some deer and turkeys pass by in the fields.

Stopped here when I was too tired to continue driving. It was dark when I arrived and dark when I left early in the morning. Can’t say much about it.
