Perfect location for "getting away from it all", but yet close to all amenities if needed. Robert is a class act, communication is wonderful and he will go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. Looking forward to going back in the near future. If you love the outdoors and being in touch with nature, this is the place for you.

3 nights at Cabin Creek Farm

Gary's land is beautiful and he is incredibly welcoming. Everyone ate together under the lit community pavillion and fireflies were all around. Kayaking basically steps away was a DREAM (go at 7pm during the summer, trust me.) Cranberry Island itself is also adorable and stunning. The ferry trips were a highlight! We were super glad we booked. The only warning is there is no water available at the site, only at the general store by the dock when you arrive. Check the store hours and come prepared!

We loved camping at Jeff and Cathy’s Woodchuck acres. It’s really clear they care about the people staying there. We had a great time. I’d definitely stay again and would love to try the owl’s nest or tree house! Thank you!

2 nights at Maine Lakeside Hideaway - Otyokwa

Perfect if you don't mind falling asleep to loon call or waking up to bald eagles chirping. This was our second time staying in the cabins and certainly will not be our last! We can't wait to come back and bring other friends and family members. Rheanna is a wonderful and attentive host. The cabins themselves are exceptionally clean, the shared kitchen cabin is fully stocked, the beds are more comfortable than my bed at home, and the showers are warm. I highly recommend adding the wood-fire sauna to your trip. Hard to beat a sauna and a dip in the lake to start the day.

4 nights at Four Acre Woods Campground

I loved my stay in the geodome at Four Acres Woods! This is the perfect place for those who love the outdoors but want a more convenient, comfortable way to enjoy it! The staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was amazing! All the facilities, including the bathrooms, sauna, and community cabin were very clean. We met amazing people in the area and got to see some amazing nature!

This is the most beautiful, peaceful, secluded and comfortable campsite I’ve been to! Access to what feels like your own private beach to launch a paddleboard, kayak, etc, and plenty in the surrounding area to explore. I am used to quite wild camping so it felt like such a luxury to get that experience while also having an outdoor shower and sink to wash dishes with warm water! A truly beautiful experience. The host is so kind and considerate. Thank you for sharing your land with us!

Weekend Trip to Flatrock on the River

We loved our stay so much! The gravel road was smother than most black top roads! We pulled into our site and was so surprised to see such a clean, well put together site! We backed our truck camper in with ease and had a nice level pad. It was such a great perk of firewood, tiki torches! Solar lights were such a nice surprise and lit the path to the cleanest porta-potty I’ve ever seen!! We had the pleasure of meeting our host the next morning and he welcomed us and invited us to stay for the day with our dogs and check out flat rock! What an amazing area. Worth every single penny! You must stay here if you’re in the area!

3 nights at Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond

I had a great time at Robert's cabin. I was very pleased with the necessities that were provided: camp chairs, a grille to set cookware on over the fire, and a tick removal kit were among the highlights. I had fun exploring the property and paddling Tilden Pond. I did get my 2WD car stuck in the mud on the way out, though, so coming in a 4WD vehicle would be best!

Sooo awesome! Super cute vintage vibe camp. Everything you need. Just bring your own food/toiletries and that’s it. Everything else is provided. It felt like an adult summer camp but with a sauna. The kids loved the rec room and the camp kitchen was a perfect hangout spot when we had a bit of rain. We are already looking forward to booking again. Next time we have our eye on one of the house boats but Book early!

Learn more about this land: You'll arrive at our barn and home, probably greeted by a variety of animals. Walking past the pond and through the field towards the tree line, you'll arrive at our tiny cabin situated on a hill with the salt marsh below. The cabin is furnished with a full sized futon, a wooden bench, beehive working woodstove, and shelving. There are candle lanterns provided, however we suggest also bringing a few flashlights. Depending on the season we have farm vegetables and eggs available, kayaks available upon request to use to explore the salt marsh and harbors right out in front of the cabin. A short drive and you can find numerous hiking areas and beaches or take the longer 1 hour and 15 min ride to Bar Harbor. The cabin is not visible to the main house, though sound may travel. You'll have a beautiful view of the water facing west for sun sets. We access the water and trails around the fields foraging for berries with our kiddos and dogs, along with rotating the grazing animals and will provide ample space to respect your privacy. A small gas grill and cooler can be provided, Cabin has no electric or running water. Water can be accessed from the main house and/or barn pumps depending on season, however will need to be brought down to cabin. Outhouse is located nearby.

The lake does not have a sandy bottom, so you might want to bring water shoes. We are located about halfway between Bangor and Ellsworth. The Mini is a perfect spot for day trips to the coast. Just a 15 minute ride to Bangor where you will find many local breweries, restaurants, concert venue, theaters, shopping and night life. We are only an hour away from beautiful Mount Desert Island. Our area has abundant small wildlife. We regularly see rabbits, geese, ducks, beaver, eagles, osprey and of course loons. Kayak over to our private island where there are blueberries, and a mating pair of eagles. Paddle over, have lunch, pick some blueberries for your morning cereal, go for a swim. You could also kayak through the thoroughfare to Holbrook Pond. The site is small, just 1 acre and we do live very close by. You will have privacy, but you may hear or see us or our dogs at points during your stay. We will provide a few jugs of water, but you may want to bring some of your own. Cookware, plates, cups, utensils, and cooler are available for use. There is also a gas grill available. Linens will be provided if you don't bring your own, however the bed might not be made up. Our work schedules don't allow us to be how before 4:00 to clean up from previous campers. When checking out, please strip the bed and leave in tote. Thank you for your understanding.

The cabin at White Duck Farm

We built this cabin recently with siblings and a few skilled friends to make a getaway place for the extended family. It is built on property adjacent to our fruit farm which is slowly building up to full production with a kiwi orchard planted, ramps seeded, and a producing strawberry hoophouse for early ripening fruit. We move our horse and pony around to different fields during the warmer months, and keep pekin ducks (the white ones) (now all in retirement!). The farm is 78+ acres with logging roads and is located on a quiet road. Food markets and some good places to eat are within 6-7 miles. There is an outdoor shower, a nice outhouse, a campstove, oil lamps etc - so it's is very old fashion yet comfortable cabin stay! Bring your own towels and maybe some candles. Plenty of board games, and maps of our local hikes and places to explore. If you come in the fall you should know that the roof is insulated but the walls are not - so layer up, bring extra blankets, and hugging the woodstove might be necessary! This is a great location to explore the midcoast of Maine!

All RV's including off grid and pop-ups must set up on GRAVEL PAD only. This is to prevent damage to the private septic system. Your camper RV, off grid van or pop up MUST have an on board toilet, composting or otherwise, no exceptions. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent. A sister cabin shares the half acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. This cabin is booked up 95 percent for the season. Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

The small town of Union also hosts the Maine Wild Blueberry Festival and the Maine Antiques Festival. The Lobster Festival is nearby in Rockland every August. Only one rental allowed at a time - so you get breathtaking beauty all for yourself - and those with you! Note: Part of the land is a working Wild Blueberry farm and as such, on rare occasions, the quiet is interrupted to care for the crop.
