Experience life off-the-grid on our 50-acre homestead, surrounded by 100 acres of wild blueberry barrens. We built our 20ft guest yurt with sustainably harvested maple saplings from our land. It's surrounded by beech trees and tucked away from our cabin. It's a very special place to us, and we're excited to share it!We live 1/2 mile down a dirt road tucked into the forest. Enjoy the solitude of the woods, but with a lot to do nearby. Only 10 minutes from downtown Belfast, 15 minutes from Swan Lake State Park, 30 minutes to Camden, and an hour from Acadia.
The yurt has a full bed, loveseat, dining table, and kitchen area with a propane stove and bucket sink (no running water, but jugs of water provided.) There is a solar generator for lights and charging phones. Outside there's a fire pit, outdoor chairs, and a private outhouse. **we are doing some redecorating and furnishings may be different than in the photo
The yurt is at the start of our long driveway, and our cabin is at the far end, through the woods and not visible from the yurt. We're nearby if you need anything, but far away enough for your privacy. We don't have any close by neighbors, but our road is public.
The nitty gritty:
Kitchen essentials are provided--a cooler, cookware, utensils, mugs, glasses, wine opener, pour over coffee maker and filters, salt, pepper, oil, dish soap, and a sponge. If there's something else you need, we may have it! Please just ask at least 24 hours before your visit.
All trash is pack in pack out. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Campfires are allowed, but since you're tucked into the canopy, they must be small and in control. Do not bring firewood (to avoid transporting bugs)! We may have firewood available for your stay, reach out to be certain. Otherwise, it can be bought locally. No burning of plastic, trash, or food. Water is provided to put the fire out before you go to bed.
