What a rare treat, to stay in a hand-crafted dwelling that rests so lightly on the land. Gloria provided excellent directions and there was a bouquet of freshly-picked wildflowers to greet us, along with a helpful note. We opted to eat out (great tacos at "Hey, Sailor," just down the road), but the off-grid stove and kitchen were well set up for novice users. The solar lights were comfortable for evening reading, too-- fun to find a copy of the back-to-the-land classic, "The Good Life," on the bedside bookshelf. The full bed was comfortable, too, though I should have warned my 6'1" honey, whose toes extended past the foot of the bed. The beauty of the surroundings and the sound of birdsong from the blueberry barrens was worth it. All in all, a very nice stay with so many thoughtful touches. We would book again.

We loved our stay at Beech Grove Yurt! The hosts are very kind and easy to communicate with. It had all the comforts of home and the wood stove kept the space warm on a chilly night. The space is private and quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Beech Grove Yurt was perfect! Clean, cozy, and extremely comfortable. The yurt was easy to find based on directions given, included all the basics we needed to stay for a couple of nights (we brought food and bedding), and included so many thoughtful details that truly delighted us. My favorite detail—Gloria provided a basket of handmade house slippers for folks to use while in the yurt. We liked them so much we each bought a pair to bring home with us!

My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at the yurt. Our stay was as expected and more. We were worried it might be difficult to find the yurt once we are there due to lack of service. But thankfully Gloria was very communicative throughout our trip and we had service once we arrived there. 5/5

What a treat - and just what the doctor ordered. The yurt was cozy and inviting. Gloria's handwritten welcome note was touching. Watching herons in the neighboring blueberry barrens was an unexpected bonus. We are already excited for the next visit.

We loved our stay. The yurt was very sweet and cozy. The outhouse and the yurt were so clean and it all exceeded our expectations. Lots of room, comfy clean bed and very sweet decor.

My only regret is that I could only stay 1 night. It was a blissful stay in the most wonderfully cozy yurt. Surrounded by woods and blueberry barrens, it was my idea of paradise. Without ever meeting Gloria in person, I can say with certainty that she's an exceptional host. There was a lovely note left on the table to welcome me, and every little touch, including the hand-made slippers, made my retreat perfect.

We loved this cozy yurt so much! It had everything we needed and was the perfect place to land on our way to Acadia. Gloria left us some fresh cut flowers and eggs from her chickens. and the firewood was amazing! Recommend this spot to anyone! :)

Gloria and Brian are excellent hosts. The yurt was beautiful, much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and so well equipped with everything you need - it really exceeded our expectations. The bed is comfortable and with a dining table and chairs and sofa we had plenty of places to sit inside, as well as the fire pit outside. It’s a fantastic place to explore the surrounding Searsport area too. We highly recommend this amazing place to stay and will definitely be back again!

If you’re looking for a serene Maine woods getaway, look no further! This is the perfect retreat for if you’re looking for a relaxing, off the grid experience. The nearby coastal towns are just a short drive away if you choose to get out and explore some awesome dining and sights. As for accommodations, well, they were pristine. From the solar string lights to light your way in the dark, to the charging station and furnishings for added comfort— it’s enough to make you consider doing this Yurt life year-round. As for the outhouse: it’s easily the cleanest one we’ve ever seen; and we’ve camped across the country (twice). We can’t wait to return for another stay before the season ends. Thank you Brian and Gloria for the hospitality!! 👏🏻

What a gem! This was such a serene and unexpected find tucked away in the woods.
If you’re looking for an uninterrupted Maine outdoor retreat — this is the spot.
The accommodations could not be any cleaner. Hands down the tidiest outhouse we’ve ever seen, and we’ve camped all over the country — so believe us!
This was a great first Yurt experience, which we can’t wait to repeat time and time again. Thank you Brian and Gloria for creating this little slice of heaven for all of us to enjoy.
