Weekend Trip to River Trail Hollow

This site is a hidden gem!! So quiet and peaceful. Can walk right to the greenbrier river trail and to the ‘beach’ on the greenbrier river. The site had plenty of space. Our boys loved the creek and we enjoyed night walks after dinner around the loop of the campground. Central to everything we wanted to see and left wanting to stay longer. Already looking into when we can go back. Our whole family agreed it was our favorite spot to date.

My friends and I have really enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. Brian was very responsive to our questions and accommodated our needs. The drive up and down the mountain to the campsite is beautiful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Campground is clean and organized into different camping spots, with plenty of room between each spot. Really nice to have hot showers and a place to wash hands. Outhouses are dispersed throughout the campground making them easy to reach from any camping spot. Fishing on the Greenbrier River is great. Swimming, tubing and kayaking are also popular. Steps away from the Greenbrier River Trail.

We had a great time at Arrowhead Farm! The RV site met all expectations. The restaurant was fun and the beer cold. It was also in walking distance to Long Point trail which was a huge plus. We would stay again!

Amazing place, an d out the gate they were super accommodating in rectifying my boneheaded botching of the booking dates. The place itself is incredible with all amenities at arms length, including on-premise foot trails AND a great restaurant with tap beers!! HIGHLY recommended.

Peak + pine was totally lovely! I loved how close it was to lake access and Fayetteville (only about a 20-minute drive). The camp itself was well-equipped with the essentials and everything I needed — even a sweet coffee station and bug spray. As a solo traveler I felt at ease that the host’s home was nearby and Elle was eager to help with anything I needed. I will definitely be back during my stays in the area!!

Weekend Trip to Starry Nights New River Gorge

We loved camping at Secret Spot! The large, open site is surrounded by mature trees that provide ample shade during the warmer parts of the day. Secret Spot is private and secluded but only minutes from Pipestem and Bluestone State Parks as well as Sandstone Falls. We enjoyed stargazing at night and saw several deer and rabbits. Brian was an amazing host and the site was neat, clean and well kept. Even the outhouse was nice! There was also a bundle of firewood on the picnic table when we arrived. Looking forward to our next visit!

A two minute walk to the greenbrier river to swim, with rock beach water access. Hot showers, a sink for dishes, clean portajons. We had one of the 4(?) sites right on the Stamping Creek and it was perfect to fall asleep to. I would definitely love to stay here again.

This place is really special! The creek and river access were perfect for me and my pup. Site 1 is close to the entrance so you so get some noise from the gate and the public boat ramp seems to be a Saturday night party spot for locals, so having earplugs was nice. They fireflies are so spectacular. Pick up a copy of Night Magic by Leigh Ann Henion before you go and you'll find all the magic in the darkness this campsite has to offer!

We absolutely loved site 7. The creekside camp was beautiful. You can relax to the sound of the creek flowing calmly throughout the night. The showers were clean as well as the site. It was nice to have our first bunk of wood included and more nearby. Thank you for this great place. We will be back!

My wife and I tent camped for a few nights. The site surrounded by mountains is beautiful and peaceful. Ducks and geese in the lake. An absolutely stunning waterfall just a 5 minute walk away. A meandering hillside trail perfectly shaded and teaming with mushrooms, deer, rabbits, and other wildlife. Several very friendly dogs also paid us a visit. This restorative retreat was exactly what we didn’t know we needed. Can’t wait to introduce the kids to this gem. The surrounding area was also a treat, with the Beartown boardwalk trail, the Greenbrier river where we went swimming everyday at the pebble covered beach. The Amish farm market where we had breakfast Saturday morning and so so much more. We honestly can’t wait to go back. If I could post pictures in this review I would.

Amazing sunrise views and stargazing at night. Loved the Adirondack chairs around the fire. Super easy instructions and good communication. We visited Bluestone State Park about 25 min away which was also stunning.

I love camping at Brian’s site! It was beautiful. Had the best time with my 5 friends. It was quite and private but still close enough to the town for emergencies. For anyone worried about taking a low clearance car to the Field of Dreams site, you have nothing to worry about as we had one 2WD sedan with us and it made it to the site without any issues. Inclement weather might make it a bit problematic. The little toilet outhouse was very clean. The provided trash bin was very helpful. Brian was very helpful and quick at communicating. I would highly recommend this site for families and friend groups.

I loved the site! Had a cozy fire at night and woke up to Summersville lake shimmering through the trees. Climbing at the lake is literally minutes away which is a big plus for me. I'll definitely be back!

Our farm is a great destination for overland camping—perfect for getting your truck a little dirty! We are cautiously dog-friendly. Our farm dogs patrol the property to protect our free-roaming animals, so visiting dogs must be well-behaved, leashed, and comfortable around other animals. If you're unsure about compatibility, please reach out for advice. Our dogs will come to your camp to "check you out". If your dog has a problem with other dogs that are new to them you must let us know so we can control our dogs. We have had people come with problem dogs and not tell us so, we are asking for a $1 extra that we now require as a pet fee. While you're here, visit our local businesses in Gassaway. In addition to the NRG and Summersville Lake and Dam, also close by are Carnifex Ferry Battleground State Park where you can see where a crucial civil war battle took place, as well as Babcock State Park with its iconic grist mill and waterfall. Our region has it all! But why stay in an overcrowded, commercial campground? Leave the beaten path and enjoy peaceful and private, safe and secure primitive camping on our mountain farm. We provide 7 sites on our farm for every camping style, from dry RV to tent, each with a table, fire pit and grill. We are mindful of camper's privacy so we do not use that backside of our home while we have campers. You have full access to "The Peak + Pine Loop" which begins at the top of the shared driveway / porta-potty to the entire forest campsite area to the amenity station.
