2 nights at Molalla Ripple

We spent two days at this campsite and couldn't have asked for a better escape from the summer heat. We stayed at Site 8, which is the last campsite and furthest from the river access, but the walk down to the water wasn't long at all and we actually loved the extra seclusion it provided. The campsite itself was well-maintained and level. The facilities were clean, and the river shack with charging stations made it so I could still connect for work when needed while the kids played in the river.

Although we had a big group, we all had a great time on Sam's accommodating campsite. There was a lot to do on the water, the campsite was large, and there was clean water extremely close to camp. I would recommend the spot to anyone looking to have a great time by the river!

2 nights at GeerCrest Farm

Camping at Jim’s site was a pure pleasure. The site was neatly prepared and clean, views - spectacular and whole place had this unique atmosphere of serenity. I must not forget about the hosts - smiling and friendly, always happy to help. We’re planning to visit the farm again!

We had a great 2 night mid week get away at the elkhorn camp. Anthony was very communicative and showed us around the well maintained property. We chose a site near the river which felt very private. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Gordon’s Pond

Such a beautiful property!! We got surprised with a rainy weekend, so Patricia upgraded our site due to our original site being muddy. The pond was beautiful, so many frogs and birds, plus horses in the distance! There were other camps around, but it felt very secluded and private. I definitely recommend giving here a try, I didn't regret a single minute :)

Weekend Trip to Garden of Eaton

Great little setup Julie has going. I really only needed a safe, affordable place to pitch my solo tent but it ended up raining a lot so I slept in my SUV. Regardless, the spot was perfect for what I needed. I could see it being fun for small families, too. Very quiet and peaceful. Excellent host. Highly recommend.

So glad I decided to book a few nights at Molalla Ripple - the views were amazing but the campground itself was perfect. When I arrived the space was clean and ready for me to get set up quickly. With my dog in tow, she had plenty of space to roam on her lead without getting in anyone’s way. The host was extremely kind and attentive and you can tell their team (and family) are passionate about providing a space for everyone to have what they need. We’ll be back again, no doubt!

The outside shower was surprisingly nice, there was a frog in the tub, but he jumped out and the water was hot and worked great! Great lil event venue set up too, loved the net and saloon!

Such a gorgeous retreat with everything you could need for an amazing trip. Kind host, big fire wood bundles, and a safe place to pee lol, no notes! Would camp here again. So beautiful and quiet, and nothing can beat that waterfall. You do have to carry in your things down a fairly short nature trail, so prep for that, but it was so worth it. Would/will camp again.

Super private amongst Hazelnut trees. We angled our Sprinter to have, what felt like, place to ourselves. It was hot outside, but not under the canopy. Owner provides fire pits first come first served. Wood available at a reasonable cost. Instant on hot water shower was nice in the AM with flush toilets short walk away. Dog friendly, great stopover. No hookups.

We are close to Falls City, the vast wilderness of the Oregon Coast Range, Valley of the Giants, and are about a 15 minute drive from the cities of Dallas and Monmouth. Dauenhauer Family Campground

This property is owned by Carl Dauenhauer and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's Carl and his children began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision of Carl's for quite some time. Carl usually goes for a walk through the vineyard in the during sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, and he loves to share his life-story with any campers who want to chat.

The Rusty Rose

A steep fire road (for 4wheel drive... or pack in access) leads into the woods for shady sites or camp below nearer the creek in an open grassy area in front of the house. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is electricity and water on site. A compost toilet and sink are available, but no shower. -There is a communal fire pit, don't forget your marshmallows. (No individual fires allowed). I will talk to each group of campers about their comfort level with enjoying the fire with other campers, or a preference for trading off nights. -I have a 6-person hammock for relaxing with family or friends. (NOT a trampoline) - There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the Cowzebo for use if the weather gets iffy. - Friendly dogs are welcome.
