It was so beautiful and peaceful!! Loved the woods around us! The site was perfect for us. The site was clean!! When we had questions Joy answered promptly. It was really close to Crater Lake!! I highly recommend this site!!

Sweet spot near crater Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Having power, water access and dump at site was nice. Please note however, the sewer hook up on each side is situated differently than a normal campsite. You just have to decide which way you want to face your rig. I would choose site number one if I had to do it again because the sewer is on the driver side. It also provided more shade mid afternoon in June. I appreciated all the wildflowers and wildlife. Pretty lights that decorated the campsites were a special touch.

Weekend Trip to Wild Hare Farms

It was so nice to wake up to the sun cresting the mountain. Not something you can see in Ohio! The hosts are very nice people. Both educators. Very accommodating. The facility was perfect for us. The barn was a nice touch to use on case of rain, wind etc.

What a great spot! This was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed visiting all the waterfalls and Crater Lake, but relaxing at camp was the highlight of our trip!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Joy’s property. It was a great place to escape from the city and enjoy the outdoors. Joy’s is perfectly located from Crater lake and lots of fishing spots. She was an amazing host. We forgot to bring our adapter (50-to-30amp) and a longer water hose and she went out of her way to provide both. Our staying was lacking nothing!! Amazing views and we had perfect privacy. I look forward to coming here again soon with my family.

Beautiful spot! A few campgrounds around if you want to go with others but are far enough apart you don’t have to hear or see others. Russell the camp host was super helpful. Would definitely go back. Only about a 40 minute drive into Crater Lake (with traffic).

Weekend Trip to Crater Lake Private Space

This site was amazing! 50 amp to charge the EV and full-hook-ups for the camper. Such a nice change from the crowded public campgrounds we had been at during our trip around Oregon. The perfect place to stay for exploring Crater Lake. Joy her husband are fantastic! We also enjoyed meeting friendly folks at The Prospect Cafe and Trophy Room.

Weekend Trip to Lane Creek Reserve

The tent was beautiful, showers were hot, nice smelling organic toiletries, composting toilet was clean, towels provided, and a propane heater in the tent to keep warm. Slept well and met some amazing people. Definitely recommend!

1 night at Lane Creek Reserve

We came to Lara's at the tail end of a camping trip and couldn't have asked for more. The tent was beautiful and clean, so cozy and warm at night. We were in desperate need of a shower and the facility was amazing. We had a wonderful experience and Lara couldn't have been more accommodating. If we were able, we would stay a night or two longer, and certainly will return if in the area.

I just adore this farm! I have been shopping at their farm stand for a few years now and was so excited to see them start on hip camp! It was so relaxing, the family was so accommodating, and the tents were great! I will say the bed was a bit firm, but not a biggie! Just bring an extra pad. The view was great, the hammocks were great, the toileting and cooking area was great!!! Can't wait to go again!

Beautiful camping spot adjacent to a babbling stream. Tidy clean campsite, with nice touches ,solar powered fairy lights and a warm shower. We will stay here again!

We loved the camp site! Rebecca provided everything we needed. We ended up having the whole campsite to ourselves and were able to have our Golden Retriever run around in the open meadow. Rebecca went above and beyond by putting sprinklers all over the campsite to help keep the meadow nice and green, even in the dry summer. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and stop by the next time we’re in town!

1 night at Lane Creek Reserve

I really love this farm. Such a beautiful piece of land at the foot of the hills outside medford, but still high enough that you had vista views to the east and west. I watched the sun set, and the sunrise. It was peaceful restful and fun to watch all the farm animals do their thing. Lara’s charcuterie plate was divine- beautiful fresh organic fruits cheeses etc, beautifully arranged, and it made everything so simple- i didnt have to figure out dinner after a day of driving. Loved the glamping tent- beautifully appointed bed and everything so clean and pretty. What I especially liked was that she had 3 quilts in the tent of 3 different weights, so you could use whichever one suited the weather that day and your own temperature needs . That is a very thoughtful thing.

This was a great spot to get off the I-5 and stay and chill by the Rogue River. Real safe place to camp and explore the area. Hal was really inviting and accommodating. I would give it 5 stars.

1 night at Lane Creek Reserve

Lara and her family was amazing and very welcoming. We came with 2 dogs and it was truly a nice farm experience. One of our dog is vocal and slightly reactive, but Lara didn’t mind and said “let the dog be a dog” and really made us so comfortable and welcomed with our situation! There was another dog staying two tents down, and we were able to let them play in the front of the huge property we got to stay! There are some foxtails so if your dog is sensitive make sure to bring shoes to protect their paws! (Easy peasy) Thank you for the relaxing environment and your beautiful animals!

Mindful Earth Farm

Mindful Earth Farm is a multi-family intentional community located on a six acre certified organic and biodynamic permaculture farm outside of Ashland Oregon. We currently have two families and two additional indivuals living on the farm as well as goats, chickens, guinea hens, dogs and a few cats. Although the farm has worn many cash hats over the last ten years, from a market garden, to a hemp farm, a hemp seed breeding research facility, and most recently a heritage grain research farm, the more permanent aspects of the farm including the food forests and horticulture have continued to evolve despite historic droughts and high temperatures over the last couple of years. With the abundant rain we received earlier this year, we are experiencing a bountiful harvest of fruits, berries and nuts in addition to plentiful veggies from our annual garden spaces. Each tipi has its own deck with a private outdoor toilet and instant hot water outdoor shower, comfy beds, fire pits, carpeting, kitchenette with fresh local coffee, tea, goodies, creamer and sugar. Clean filtered spring water. We have lots of fun activities for families. Our tipis are spaced respectfully apart from each other for privacy. All four tipis come equipped with at least one queen size bed, some have two, and three to four very comfortable couch beds, dishes, cups, silverware and pour over coffee maker and hot water kettle. Very comfortable bedding, sheets, blankets, towels, lights, pillows, wash cloths, robes, hand towels, toilet paper, blow dryer, vanity, portable DVD player, fan, heater, tv tray, luggage rack, fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detecter, first aid kit, board games, cooler, propane fire pit inside the tipi and wood fire pit outside on your deck. There is a toilet for urine and foot pump sink inside the tipi and outside of the tipi there is a separate shower and toilet for everything else. The shower has instant hot water and lasts a long time for an amazing shower experience. Both shower and toilet are outdoors and on your deck but enclosed for privacy. Each deck has furniture, umbrellas with misting system, lights, and fire pits. You can see the outdoor movie screen from each tipi deck. We have a giant outdoor movie screen with epic sound system because hey, we don’t have any neighbors and we can have some fun for family reunions and parties, weddings or any other gatherings that mean something special to you. We also have an axe throwing station, hammocks, pickle ball court, basketball, trampoline, badminton, corn hole, garden, two ponds, one is a lily pond the other is very big and we have two pedal boats, a paddle board, floating island, float toys, and a floating deck and 155 acres of private hiking and mushroom foraging. This specific piece of land holds very special energy. Guests have plenty of activities, comfortable beds, lots of oxygen because we are tucked into a forest, and a peaceful off grid environment. You will also drink fresh spring water filtered through one of the finest filtration systems, The Berkey Filters. All of these factors contribute to very good sleep. Our guests biggest compliment is how well they sleep. We are also 15 minutes away from the Rogue River! We offer tours to the Redwoods, Oregon coast, Oregon caves, and a Rogue River scenic drive, The ghost town of Golden and the Wolf Creek tavern, which has been on the tv show Ghost Adventures. The cost of the tours depend on the cost of gas at the time of the tour. We have a fully loaded outdoor kitchen with hot running water, community mini fridge, induction cook tops, pots and pans, silverware, cups, dishes, coffee maker, popcorn maker, coffee grinder, spices and a spice rack, paella pans, pizza maker, bbqs both propane and charcoal, dish rack, cleaning supplies, mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, and most cooking utensils that are used regularly. On Saturdays we set up a crafting table so kids and adults can paint, build, sculpt and create cool things to take home. We offer fresh eggs with advance notice and offer goodies from our garden and fruit trees when in season. We do not charge to use pedal boats, Pickleball, paddle boards or any other activities on the property. Yoga classes are donation based. We pick up from the Rogue Valley Medford International airport for a fee and welcome solo and world travelers. We are a dog friendly resort. If you have an aggressive dog you will be required to keep your dog on a leash. There is an additional fee for dogs. We have animals on the property including dogs, lots of birds including two handsome peacocks, deer, and squirrels. There could be cougars, wolves, foxes and bears in the surrounding forest area although we never see them and we do have a barrier.

You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cabin on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. A bridge crosses Rock Creek and there is a hiking trail beyond. Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Its an older tub but still keeps the water at 102 degrees. Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, crockpot, toaster, and 2-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided. The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a counter/bar with views of the creek. The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 3-gallon hot water heater limits showers to less than 5 minutes. Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up. A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has a rechargeable motion detector indoor light. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark. WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the table. Some games and puzzles are provided.

Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be. There is 15 acres in the immediate campgrounds & 6 tipi sites and 6 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. We rent kayaks, paddles and safety gear, with transport to the Grizzly Campground boat ramp. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species. A 20-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods where you can dine, hike, and kayak. Crater Lake National Park is 50 miles away.
